Since 2012, Kemper has been synonymous with innovation – but why? The team led by Christoph Kemper has succeeded in making convincing amplifier sounds in a compact digital format mainstream. The unique profiling technology allows users to digitally capture any amplifier with a microphone and then process and customise it to their needs, either directly via a Kemper device or using the Rig Manager software. The Kemper Profiler Player offers the most convenient form factor: The size of just two standard pedals, it fits on almost any pedalboard, so carrying heavy amps is definitely a thing of the past.
Kemper products can be found on countless stages and in studios worldwide. With impressive sounds and a direct, dynamic response, they've convinced many traditionalists to leave their beloved full-stack setup at home. In the compact dual-pedal format, the Kemper Profiler Player has a straightforward and simplified layout compared to its larger counterparts, but the profiling power remains unchanged! For musicians constantly searching for new sounds and amplifiers, this offers the opportunity to end that quest. Powerful electronics, high-quality DSP effects, and an almost endless library of amplifier and speaker models invite users to craft their perfect sound. Extensive flexibility, amazing sounds, and pleasing compactness are the defining features of this latest innovation from German manufacturer Kemper.
The Kemper Profiler Player delivers professional-grade sounds in any situation! With around 200 different DSP effects, users can build their dream rig. Up to four effect blocks can be added to the desired amp profile – two pre-amp and two post-amp. While the compact size doesn't compromise sound quality, it did make a reduced control surface necessary. However, three assignable footswitches provide plenty of options. And if that's not enough, the smaller form factor is actually a huge advantage: The compact Kemper integrates easily into a pedalboard setup, and other pedals can expand its already extensive sound palette.
German firm Kemper Amps, or rather its founder Christoph Kemper, is no stranger to the music industry. His very first product, the virtual-analogue Access Virus synthesizer, was far ahead of its time and brought the company both unexpected success and an impressive reputation within the music profession. Continuing the momentum of this success, the company then developed the “Profiler” technology, which allows an astonishingly realistic reproduction of the sound of a miked amplifier to be made and thus represents the dawn of a new era in digital amplifier simulation. This technology is currently available in different variants of the Kemper Profiler system: As a basic head, as a top with a powerful Class-D power amp integrated, as a rack-mountable unit, and even as a floorboard.
Whether as a backup solution in case something goes wrong or as the primary sound source – everyone will find what they need here. With its headphone jack, the Kemper Profiler Player makes a fantastic practice tool, but it goes well beyond that, providing a comprehensive and compact solution for almost every imaginable musical situation. Two stereo monitor outputs and an XLR output make it easy to be heard on any stage equipped with a sound system. Connecting in a studio environment is just as simple and stress-free. Just plug in, and a full range of sounds is instantly available.
Kemper Rig Manager
The Kemper Rig Manager software, designed for macOS and Windows, simplifies the structuring and customisation of a player's digital setup with the Kemper device. Equipped with around 15,000 amp profiles and many pre-made rigs, the software is designed to help users navigate the jungle of sounds. Simplified search algorithms with specific parameters like amplifier type or gain level make it easy for the user to find exactly what they are looking for. In addition to the extensive search options in the gallery, users can – thanks to a variety of intuitive parameters – finely tune amplifiers, speakers/cabinets, and effects to match their individual setup.
