Technical specifications:
The Ignition 2bright Blind 3K is specifically designed for white blinder and strobe lighting, and is an exceptionally powerful model in its price category. The two individually controllable LEDs provide a wide variety of different effects with a relatively large beam angle, and the flicker-free blinder is perfect for use in TV and film, delivering soft blinder effects thanks to its removable frost filter. By virtue of its high protection class, the 2bright Blind 3K is also suitable for outdoor use and can be conveniently stowed away in one of the optionally available cases while on the road.
The centrepiece of the 2bright Blind 3K are its two COB LEDs, each rated at 100W and delivering warm white blinder and strobe effects with a colour temperature of 3000K and a large beam angle of 90°. These LEDs can be configured via the four buttons beneath the display found on the rear of the casing or by DMX, which offers various operating modes ranging from one to six channels. Thanks to the quick-lock bracket included in the scope of delivery, the unit can be mounted on trusses in a horizontal or vertical position, and the IP65 protection class means the casing is not only shielded from dust but also safe from water spray coming from any direction.
The Ignition 2bright Blind 3K creates blinder and strobe effects with powerful luminosity for various uses and events of all sizes. The high CRI level delivers some very organic surface lighting for movie productions, for instance. Small comedy clubs will only require two of these blinders, while medium-sized venues may opt for a long lighting truss as part of the backdrop. The best bet for larger stages is to install the blinders vertically on the portal bridges, and the stepless adjustable mounting bracket makes precise angling particularly easy. To prevent drawing too much unwanted attention during theatre productions, the display's backlighting can also be switched off. Last but not least, lighting designers can achieve soft blinder effects using the included frost filters.
In 2009, Thomann created its in-house brand “Ignition”, with a mission to provide affordable products in the field of LED lighting. The quality of its professional spotlights, decorative lights, LED strips, and much more compare very favourably with their earlier established competitors, and a wide range of accessories rounds off Ignition’s comprehensive product range. Anyone who is looking for LED products that combine impressive quality and an affordable price tag should thus definitely take a closer look at Ignition products.
Those who want to enhance their show lighting with some blinders on a medium-sized stage should symmetrically attach them to the backdrop. This is done by hooking up the first one to a power source, and the rest can be connected via their output jacks using optionally available Power Twist adapters, while the DMX signal needs to be looped through the three-pin XLR sockets. If the user now opts for the six-channel mode, they can individually control the LEDs and also select four different dimming curves, random pulse and strobe effects, and a burst effect with increasing speed.
