A brilliant Ruggeed Plug socket -

Bought this to create a cable for an expression pedal connecting to an Eventide Timefactor. Outside this looks exactly like the stereo version which was the aesthetic I was going for - I had one trs cable going to an aux pedal and another going to an expression pedal. So I wanted a match - I like things like that.

Nice tags that are easy to solder to, a really great construction that's reassuringly solid. These look great with the yellow cable I've used. They look really smart and are really strong too.

Same as with all Hicon product. High quality, easy to use and great sounding jack plug. I struggled with it maximum cable diameter limitation which is 7mm but with patience I was able to use this plug with the Sommer Carbokab 225 cable.

I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for jack plugs.

un buon connettore

hicon è il brand con cui Sommer Cable (ditta tra le leader mondiali nella produzione di cavi) produce i propri connettori.
Si tratta di prodotti professionali realizzati con cura e anche con un'estetica accattivante.
Questo connettore in particolare l'ho scelto perchè è compatto, realizzato in maniera solida e che garantisce un'ottima durata.
Anche se a livello sonoro o di affidabilità non è influente anche il design di questo connettore è molto valido: è bello a vedersi.

L'unico appunto è che il connettore è "aperto" sul retro quindi a meno di non utilizzare una guaina termoretraibile o un cavo che sia esattamente del diametro massimo permesso dal connettore resterà dello spazio tra il corpo del connettore e il cavo.
