These kind of connectors make a strong and secure grip. Because the pins are gold plated, the signal is going through unaffected for many years to come. One of the common malfunction of the XLR connectors is that air humidity produces pins and holders oxidation. Even the electrical signal is passing by, it goes affected by this oxides which behave as capacitors who cut down high frequencies. Gold plated pins don't!

These are easy to work with and I like them a lot more than the Neutriks I've seen. Really a good plug although I'd like them more at 2 euros a piece.

It's not Neutrik but it's Hicon, love it nonetheless and it's gold! :) Use them on touring cables on daily basis and never had any problems, solders easily as it connects.
