I absolutely adore Hercules stands - they've set a standard for me when it comes to instrument stands. I own a lot of them - for guitar, piano and now, this one for saxophone. And this is the first one that has left me wanting... more. It folds super-fast and neatly, comes with its own carry bag. A small fold out spacer to lift the bell away from the stand and increase stability. But, where I've found it lacking - is the foam U bracket that holds the horn itself, the main part of the stand. It is VERY wide and alto saxophone will have a loose fit, even those with a wider bore. I use it with a Yanagisawa AW-O1 and P.Mauriat 67R and both will wobble and slide to one or other side if bumped ever so slightly. I will try to squeeze and make the bracket fit the form a bit more tightly, but the stock format is just too loose for a firm, safe grip.

There is not much to say more than the title. It is a sturdy stand and it holds my saxophone. I ask no more of it.

Very good

These work well. You have to know the trick of depressing the chrome studs to open / close the arms. Not difficult once you realise they aren't rivets. Very robust and stable.
