Easy peasy setup tool
Emile Michel Hobo 05.03.2020
I bought this Capo to help me with setting up my guitar, more specifically the action or string height. You capo on the first fret and follow the manual, which you can find online and also in the bookstore. If you want a really elaborate one, I recommend Dan Erlewine’s books. To me it’s a maintenance tool only, I don’t capo my guitar for chords, because I don’t really play them or not on all strings. I have no experience using it as a playing tool.

D
Simplest and cheapest possible capo
Domenicaccio 29.11.2021
Can't easily beat the price of this capo, which nevertheless does its job on both acoustic and electric guitars. It might not be immediately intuitive how to operate it, but once adjusted for the proper tension, it just works, and has a nice diminutive incumbrance compared to other capos.

The only downside is that after a while the strip can slip and the capo needs to be tensioned again. This hasn't occurred to me while playing, but can be noticed in between days, so it is possible that the capo won't maintain tension throughout a whole gig.

Overall, quite satisfied for home/practice/rehearsal uses: 4/5.

B
Cheap but Functional
BillDL 21.08.2020
A much cheaper, but slightly lower quality, version of this traditional type of capo made by the company with the same name as car tyres. This kind of capo has always been a bit more fiddly to use than the spring-loaded or metal lever type of much more expensive capo, but I like them because they do not get in the way of my fretting hand if you adjust the strap so that the plastic lever so that the end of the plastic lever doesn't extend beyond the length of the "shark's teeth" body. At this price you can have a capo in every pocket of every gig bag, in your car, and anywhere else that you might want one for emergencies.
