wobbly

using them with Mackie XR824

installation: had to apply some force to one stand to make it to 10 degrees and match the second one. One stand is not quite straight, the second pipe was a bit angled, but managed to adjust that with pointing it in the right direction and then tighten.

stability: wobbles a bit. as my cat is trying to make a stress test for the stands, probably will put anchors to the walls and will fix pipes to them

pros: stand base is not huge (I don't like usual tripods with enormous legs). Monitors stand still on the plate.

cons: wobbly, needs additional support, needs additional force to make it stand as it should.

Just what I needed

Assembly was straightforward once all the parts had been inspected. It took me about half an hour to set everything up. The first stand took longer because there aren't any assembly instructions, and I initially spent a good 10 minutes making sure I knew what went where before proceeding. Once I knew how it all worked, putting together the second stand probably took just over 5 minutes. Make sure you pay attention to which direction the stand tilts when screwing it all together though!

There's a screwdriver included, which is handy; although I now have 2, which is unnecessary. It does seem a bit strange than you can't buy a set of 2 stands, as I can't imagine there are many people with just a single monitor.

The ability to tilt the stand is nice, and given the generous height range available, you shouldn't need to tilt them much anyway. They seem solid as a rock with the monitors on them.

These stands are not the best looking pieces of furniture in the world, but I've got them behind my desk, so no one will ever know. They aren't hideous, but most definitely fall in the category of "functional".

Kudos to Gravity for clearly listing the materials used on their website, which is a blessing if you have a serious allergy to certain substances (in my case, natural rubber). If only more manufacturers would do this!

Pro-sumer studio monitor stand

I needed an alternate option for planting my Yamaha HS5's other than using two empty shoe boxes. Perfect for any bedroom or mid-level production studio

This was undoubtedly the best purchase option at the time as it's;

Great value for money, the vari - tilt option allows one to hone in on the sweet spot in an ever so tricky bedroom floor plan, its easy to move around and has a fairly decent build quality

However I did not enjoy the quality of the extrusion, made for a slightly awkward assembly of the stand and would've much preferred an old fashion nut and bolt ensemble

On the whole I feel as this product is the perfect purchase if you're looking for and enhanced stereo field listening experience and doubles as cat stand for those feline dwellers too!

It looks a better newer version of the stand. I had one of the same model, which was very old. Can't tilt that much and the additional plastic on the connection with the base is missing.
