a really handy addition

Grips the music stand well - mine is absolutely loaded with stuff and it hasn't slipped a millimetre.

The bottom of the tray has some foam padding on it - more delicate items don't get scratched when placing them on the tray.

The only "con" I have is that there are no ends on the short side of the tray. I once had a mouthpiece roll off the end and onto the floor. I fixed it by attaching some cardboard to the ends to stop this happening again.

I guess this is a personal thing though, some users might prefer it with the ends being open.

Does its job, with ease of transportation and manipulation
AlbertoJV 16.08.2024
I bought it for timpani mallets, for those occasions just two or three pairs are needed. It does the job and it’s easy to transport. It can adapt to a large spectrum of stands, not only mic stands, and the nut is very easy to tighten, so you can be sure it’s not going anywhere.
The tray is padded with a thin layer of EVA foam, which is quite convenient for avoiding noise and the slip of the stuff set on the tray. For my needs this layer is maybe too thin, but I guess it’s easy to add another layer of soft material for an extra quiet use.

Strong enough

It is strong enough to hold Korg microKEY Air 25 and it fits perfectly.

Using it as a stand for Arturia Keystep
PapaPush 21.09.2020
I got this stand to clamp onto my mic stand and use it as a stand for my Arturia Keystep to trigger MIDI notes during live performances. While the keyboard sits well, it does get a little wobbly if played with force. Obviously not what the product was intended to do, but still works well.
