I tried to install 2 of these on my Jackson, one didn't work and I broke the second one (my mistake). Replaced them later with push/pull CTS pots, the difference in quality is staggering. I'm no longer buying Göldo pots. I'll only recommend these if you are on a really tight budget, but even then I'll look for alternatives.

I wish these would have a more slower turning ease. It is enough to touch the knob and they rotate immediately, and I find this a bit annoying, because I always have to check if the tone is not turned and sucking the... tone out of my pickup. Also, they are not so dirt proof, and within one year or so, you may expect cracks and pops when using the pot side. The switch also "clicks" when pulling it (not when pushing it back); I suppose it has to do with the speed of which I am handling it.

The PRO side, is that it is really indispensable if you want to split coils or want to add some other switching to your guitar.

P
Thes pish/pull pots in my custom SC-500 II
Properfessor 02.03.2023
I asked them if they could swap out the regular tone pots for these in Sally, my SC-500 II FTF. I use them for splitting the humbucker coils in her.

I see that feature in other HB models such as the CST-24 and I really wanted the same split coil capability in this single cut LP-style axe. It's a one of a kind Custom until someone reads this review.

Thomann's Custom Shop had it done in short order and in my hands 3-4 days later as per their routine business. I did have to buy them of course, but it's the best $12 USD I've spent on guitar accessories in years.
Now I can rock any combination of split coil humbucker in the neck and/or bridge pickup. They're worth every cent

A
Great push pull pot
Anonymous 23.11.2014
I purchased this to upgrade my 20 year old HSH jackson and I wanted to be able to turn the guitar into SSS with a pull of a Switch. After extensive research I opted for this one as sold by thomann. During its installation, I would have preferred a better earth lug to be able to solder many wires to. I would say that after installation the pot is very smooth in operation. The volume control on my jackson can sometimes get in the way of playing and I did have a concern that this would be even worse with this new pot in the pulled out position; the reality is that this is no more noticeable than before.
