A
Sturdy yet light and convenient
Artistek 03.09.2023
I ordered a dozen or so of these for a client's installation that required a single-string truss across the width of the auditorium.
These items feel like they are about as robust as standard scaffold clamps. They are much lighter though and have a convenient wing nut to help lock the closure in place.
The hex-trapping space at the base makes it very easy to secure the clamp to other parts or to the end of threaded rod.
For one clamp, you might not notice the convenience or low weight but multiply that up for a whole bar within a larger installation and a schedule to keep, and the benefits are greatly appreciated. If you had several bars to install, a whole grid, this would be amplified further
Well worth the expense in my opinion. I'm pretty certain there is a Doughty equivalent (T5812201), and you should also consider those. At the time of ordering, there were availability issues for the quantity and time-scale I needed, otherwise I would have considered the Doughty and Global Truss items pretty much equal.
