Good drop clutch but not perfect
Anonymous 19.03.2017
I will start off by saying this is a decent drop clutch with good build quality. The only problem I have with it is the plastic nut at the bottom doesn't screw up far enough for me. Not everybody would consider this a problem as it's up to your personal preference.

What this means is that your hats will sway and will be washy. As I said some people may not find this a problem and plenty people like their hi-hats like this. Personally I prefer to keep my hi-hats tighter together.

I bought this for my remote hi-hats and it made it slightly difficult for me as the clutch would open itself due to the sway. I swapped it with the drop clutch on my primary hi-hats and have a tighter Gibraltar clutch on my remote hi-hats. This drop clutch works just fine on my primary hi-hats.

P
Must have for double bass players
PaulN 20.02.2014
I use this drop clutch since four years now and I am very satisfied. It is a very useful tool for playing double bass, while the hi-hat is closed. You just have to hit on it and the top cymbal is falling down. When you drop your foot on the hi-hat-pedal the cymbal got fixed again. An advantage of this drop clutch is that it has no winding at the high of the cymbal, so it causes no key holes. The quality could be a bit better. The rubber got broken some time ago, but I repaired it with a tape and have no problems with it.

but it basically does what it says on the tin, just very well and at a decent price. sure if you spent a bunch of money you could probably get one that also makes the tea. but this one drops my hi hat whenever i finished machine gunning the double bass pedal
