Just recieved the gig bag for my Keilwerth SX90.
Even the bigger sax fits nice in this gig bag.
The zippers are YKK, so I guess they will last in the longrun.
For the padding there is not much to say. It has very good padding on the outer side and in the inside there are also 3 pads with velcro and one cone for the bell.
The Keilwerth is a bit large, so I can only use the 2 pads. One on the bottom and one above the palm keys. But looks safe enough, for a gig bag!
Dropping the bag or hitting a corner with the horn inside will cause damages though. So, be careful!
As for the bell cone, I put it away since I had to use the inside of the bell to stash the neck. The two side pockets, for some reason they have the same padding as the rest of the bag, don't expect to find enough room in there for anything. But it is enough for a few reeds, one mouthpiece and the swabs. If you use a neck strap, there will be also some space left for that. If you use a Jazzlab for example you will have to carry it in another bag.
In all, the quality is very good but don't forget it's just a bag.
No safety here, just a lightweight, practical way to carry your horn. Shoulder straps are also looking good, but throwing this over one shoulder is not an option. You have to use both straps, otherwise the bag will be all over the place.
There are many things in my opinion to be corrected but even like this it will do the job quite nice.
If you are looking for a decent gig bag with decent padding, look no further. I can totally recommend this.
If you are looking for a safe way to carry your horn, you might continue your search.
