I think this is a great ukulele for jamming around and taking with you to everywhere (Good gift!). It holds tune well, has a beautiful Acacia pattern, nice sound and even comes with a bag! It's got beautiful diamond "inlays" on the fretboard which look even better irl.
For bonus: the wood smells great :-)

A beautiful looking and sounding ukulele

This is my first ukulele and I couldn’t be happier. It looks beautiful, well constructed and the acacia gives a very high quality look and feel. It plays really nicely and has a lovely rich sound to it. At this stage it is impossible to fault. 10/10
Service from Thomann was excellent and was delivered in very well protected packaging. The package arrived a day ahead of schedule which was a nice surprise too. 10/10

Toll spielbar, guter Sound

Nach Jahren auf günstigen Ukulelen bestellte ich mir die Flight, um zu probieren ob hochwertigere Ukulelen tatsächlich einen Unterschied machen. Ja, das tut es. Die Flight ist superleicht spielbar. Barreegriffe, Slides, Hammer ons... alles kein Problem. Wer eine günstigere Ukulele spielt und Probleme mit solchen Techniken hat, wird hier vielleicht erfolgreich sein. Der Sound ist ganz toll, ein schöner warmer Klang.
Allerdings war ich von der Optik an manchen Stellen doch etwas enttäuscht. So hochwertig wie auf den Fotos sieht sie in der Realität leider nicht aus. Dabei ist die Verarbeitung an sich wirklich gut, aber es hätten lieber eine Stimmmechanik aus Chrom statt aus Plastik mit Holzmaserung sein sollen. Auch die Einlagen im Griffbrett sehen für meinen Geschmack zu künstlich aus.
Leider bestätigte dieses Modell für mich auch, dass ich doch die kleinere Sopranbauform bevorzuge. Zusammen mit der Optik ist es dann doch nicht meine Ukulele. Wer jedoch die Konzertgröße schätzt und wem die Optik so gefällt, der erhält hier eine sehr, sehr gute Ukulele.

Cet instrument est d'excellente fabrication - un bémol cependant pour les angles de bords de frettes qui accrochent les doigts (à voir comment les ébavurer sans toucher à la touche...).
Esthétiquement, il est de toute beauté en bois mat naturel avec une excellente finition - aucun défaut visible d'assemblage.
J'ai été bluffé par la qualité sonore ainsi que le volume projeté, je ne m'attendais pas du tout à ça. Ce n'est pas un jouet mais un véritable instrument de musique dont il faut prendre soin.
Livré avec une belle housse de protection munie de sangles d'épaules, de poignées latérales et une poignée longitudinale - et une poche externe.
Un livret de quatre pages est fourni contenant une table complète d'accords et des suggestions de mouvements de rythmique.
Sûr que les cases sont très petites pour positionner les doigts en accords - en particulier pour les habitués de la guitare - mais on y arrive quand même.
Le ukulélé est un instrument enthousiasmant par le timbre des sons et on prend beaucoup de plaisir à le prendre en main pour jouer.
Je suis particulièrement heureux d'en avoir fait une acquisition.

This instrument is excellently made - a downside however for the angles of the edges of the frets which catch the fingers (see how to deburr them without touching the fingerboard...). Aesthetically, it is beautiful in natural matte wood with an excellent finish - no visible assembly defects. I was amazed by the sound quality as well as the projected volume, I wasn't expecting that at all. It is not a toy but a real musical instrument that must be taken care of. Comes with a beautiful protective cover with shoulder straps, side handles and a longitudinal handle - and an external pocket. A four-page booklet is provided containing a complete chord table and suggested rhythm movements. Of course, the boxes are very small for positioning the fingers in chords - especially for guitar players - but we can still get there. The ukulele is an instrument that fascinates with the timbre of its sounds and we take great pleasure in picking it up to play. I am particularly happy to have made an acquisition.
