A Great Little Amp For Stage Use - Wired
Skywalker6 07.06.2021
First of all, I'm a drummer, therefore I have no real need for wireless connectivity on stage since I'm not moving from my drum throne.

I attached a piece of wide strap to the side of my drum throne with tape and I use a belt clip to keep the amp near and accessible at all times. I can reach for my volume control in less than a second!
That also makes it easy to connect the stereo inputs via 2 XLR inputs from my mixer. The only minimal "problem" I have is the ON/OFF switch is a little bit hard to reach and press underneath the DC input.

The sound is good enough powering my Shure SE215s. I would give it a 4/5 in absolute terms, it's not the absolute Hi-Fi quality, but it's good enough for pretty much everything.

The build quality is good, the amp is very sturdy and comes in a nice plastic carry case. No problems there. I also bought the Fischer Amps DC Power Supply so I didn't try it on battery power yet.

All in all, a great device, very handy and nicely built, I'm super satisfied!

Good Sound but easily broken
Anonymous 28.02.2014
We use these powered IEM packs for backline instruments and they are certainly powerful and clear. We never really used them in stereo as we run our mixes in mono. The most disappointing element is the fact they over time they just fell apart. The battery housings fall off with regular battery replacement and the battery connection then became problematic. Also the jack sockets quickly became unreliable and the audio would frequently cut out. For a product that is made to be belt clipped the individual elements need to be more durable just as the casing (apart from the battery cover) are.

For use on the small stage this is a great little amplifier. Super easy to set up and use. The cable to your monitor output on your mixer can be annoying. I have only used it with the 9 volt battery as I want to avoid the use of another cable running down from my side. I would recommend the use of a rechargeable battery. Battery power gets used up pretty fast but on a full charge you will get a good long gig or two out of it. The belt holder (as with most belt holders on any product) in my opinion could be better.I found a weakness in the headphone socket and care is recomended when plugging in and out.In saying all that I still really like this product so much so that I purchased a second one.The price is acceptable.

Brilliant In-Ear monitor pack.
Spoobler 02.06.2014
I've been using this pack now for five years. I love it. It is such a versatile little unit. When I started using in-ears I didn't like the loss of control over my bass sound/level - or having to catch the soundguy's attention if I needed the level changed. With this pack I have my own bass signal going into one channel and everything else going into the other channel. Then by using the blend know I can alter the relative levels whenever I need to.

One other amazing feature is the ability to switch between stereo mode and dual mono mode. In stereo both signals are present in both ears and the blend knob controls how much of each signal is sent to both ears. In dual mono mode one signal is sent to the left ear, the other to the right. I find this really useful for my gigs where I'm playing double bass - so I have my bass signal in my left ear (and where the bass physically is) and the band mix in my right ear. I find this is a great feature that can let me focus on my own instrument without fighting to be heard over the other instruments.
