A
A good practice/travelling amp
Anonymous 12.08.2015
This amp only has 4 basic controls: Gain, which goes from a perfectly clean sound to a pretty heavy fuzz sound, volume, you might want to crank it up for cleans and back it down when you turn the gain up, tone which controls the mids and goes all the way from scooped to honky but is still usable in all positions and a knob-styled power switch. It's got a headphone output and a 9v power adaptor but can be fed a 9v battery too. It doesn't come with neither a battery or an adaptor so make sure you have one if you buy it. Speaking of size, it's not bigger than an average sized book and it's pretty reliable, when I got it, one of the speakers broke off and was hanging inside the speaker compartment, but it was nothing a bit of glue couldn't fix and it works pretty well. Don't expect it to sound just like an original Tonemaster, the speakers are tiny so you lose a lot of low and super-high end compared to a 5/10 watt practice amp but I have to say, it's pretty damn loud. I suggest you to buy it if you play blues, rock, jazz, punk but not if your main genre is metal, it tends to lose its definition when using high gain because it simulates a vintage amp.

Works good for it’s size
Retrox 19.05.2020
As small as it is, this amp can definitely take some abuse, definitely recommend it if you want to vibe at home or bring it around with you.

The only issue I had was with one of the knobs, the cap on it was split at the sides as it was pressed down further than it should have, which made it hard to turn, but that was easily fixed. Just an honest manufacturing mistake I assume. Otherwise the amp is great :)

Fender Mini-Tonemaster amp

For the price its fine, sound is ok,better than than a Vox Joe Satriana amp that can only be used with headphones.
Please note it does not come with a A/C power supply, the website does not say if does or does not.

M
Un pequeño gran amplificador
MarcosH 29.06.2012
