Controlled short sound for louder styles of music. It does make the bass drum a little more silent than traditional clear heads, but this one requires NO additional muffling - no pillows or blankets nor other laundry. I think it is best for situations when bass drum is mic'ed.
All parts stayed in place during all 5 years of use and nothing fell apart.

I love the way that you can decide whether you have no damper ring at all, the small ring or the large one. You could change it every gig if necessary - takes 30 seconds. Decent quality remo head as ever. Get a fallam slam pad as well for extra punch a durability. Produces a good fat kick sound with ease.

Great response and the choice of rings makes this a very versatile product that will open up alot of opportunties to shape your sounds in the studio - less noticeable live - but with mics it is an excellent tool to have

Also dieses Fell hat mich überzeugt! Da ich mit meiner Band Sachen a la DESPISED ICON und THE FACELESS spiele, wollte ich auch einen Bassdrum Sound, der dazu passt. Und mit dem GMAD hab ich das auch gefunden. Der auswechselbare Schaumstoffring ist eiomne gute Sache, in der Packung ist ein kleiner und ein großer. Ich hab gleich den großen reingemacht, Bassdrum in wenig lockerer angespannt und eine Decke zwischen Schlag und Resonanzfell gelegt. Jetzt hat die Bassdrum so eonen fetten, direkten So8nd, dass sie sich schon wie getriggert anhört! Einfach nur ein geiles Teil!

So this fur convinced me! Since I play things like DESPISED ICON and THE FACELESS with my band, I also wanted a bass drum sound that fits with that. And with the GMAD I found that too. The replaceable foam ring is a good thing, there is a small and a large one in the package. I immediately put the big one in, tightened the bass drum a little more loosely and placed a blanket between the drum and the resonance head. Now the bass drum has such a fat, direct sound that it sounds like it has been triggered! Just an awesome piece!
