Evans's Pinstripe, delivers similar tone at a much more reasonable price point. Punchy, fat attack that suits modern louder music styles where you want to have less sustain, but get that nice low-end heavier initial tone.
Once these start to wear out, they lose their tone faster than lighter heads, so you might need to replace these sooner if you want to maintain some tone in your toms. Never had an Evans head break on me during 15-20 years of using them, so as long as you pay attention to how you tune and place your drums, these heads will last you for a long time.
