Usual emg 81 sound, excellent bite, clarity and tone, I ordered 2 as replacements for the seymor Duncan in the davemustaine vmnt and it screams like a thrash guitar should.

The brushed metal looks well......metal.

I had to order the 3 way toggle switch separately which I didnt realize and maybe should be a recommended associated product on checkout to save on postage costs.

All easy connect solderless system included as usual which makes installation a breeze.

Great pickups.
I like to play 80’s hard rock/metal.
With any amp, I always feel like thz guitars I have pith passive pickups just don’t give me the crunch I am looking for. The emg 81 delivers there flawlessly.

Ideal wenn man an der Gitarre lieber Metall als Plastik sehen möchte. Der populare aktive high-output Humbucker kommt mit der praktischen Verkabelung von EMG, die Verarbeitung ist ausgesprochen gut. Zu den klassischen Pickups kann ich keinen Unterschied erkennen. Die Optik kann ich nur empfehlen, hängt aber wohl stark von der entsprechenden Gitarre ab. Bei mir hab ich die gesamte Elektronik einer 25 Jahre alten Vester getauscht und bin sehr zufrieden.
