Not only for Nirvana
Shadowchild 26.09.2020
What happened to EHX? Nirvana fan club? This is usable chorus for different type of sound (blues, hard rock, classic rock, pop, jazz, metal, extreme metal) which I tried.

I've tested it on:
Gibson Les Paul Faded 2018
Fender Stratocater Deluxe
Marshall DSL40CR
Marshal MG10

Pros:
Great sound
Nice design
Strong box
Analog sound
3 command only - easy to handle and experimentation

Cons:
For God sake, don't put Nirvana everywhere. Yes, you can easily make Nirvana sound, but you can make manyu different sounds, so please stop advertize this effect with Nirvana. I opened package and found "your Nirvana@. I like Nirvana, I listen Nirvana almost every day, but I haven't buy Electro Harmonix Op-Amp Big Muff Pi Fuzz (valve based and great fuzz) only because it fits good for Nirvana only and similar bends. Think about it!

Love it!

A pedal to fall in love with...

Update:

Make sure when you buy the product that everything works as expected - my depth switch would randomly stop working but i thought it would be occasional as lightly shaking the pedal would fix this.

Now, a month after the expected guarantee I started playing with the pedal again after a long hiatus and the switch problem was more prominent. I opened the case only to find out that the switch wires had actually never been soldered - they had only been hooked on the switch (you can find pictures on my blog).

Of course Thomann will not take care of this even if the problem had been there right from the start. I was given a OA defective product yet its considered out of guarantee. I should have known better,

So, in a nutshell - great pedal, make sure though that you return it in case there is any -even occasional- problems! I would not hesitate buying it again.

Legendary!

In short; this is a truly inspired product that has not changed in years because it is as near to perfect as a simple chorus pedal can be.

It is replacing a vintage MIJ boss pedal that until this arrived I had viewed as the definitive basic chorus pedal.

It has all the hallmarks of genius; one dial and one switch, with which one can achieve a surprising array of noises from classic to far out crazy. There is more variety than just the tones they are famous for.

It is well built and looks like it will stand the test of time and punishment.

Cons: well, it isnt well suited to barefoot or slipper wearing players and it does require thinking about foot position and careful aiming before stomping, more mental effort than a boss for example.

In conclusion, this is just a must have chorus pedal for just about everyone.

Twangletrash
Anonymous 30.03.2015
I bought this as a present for my wife. She's not usually a fan of using pedals, but already had an idea of what it sounded like thanks to Mr Cobain. But this is only the start.
She says:
With simple controls you can achieve a wide range of sounds from slight shimmer to full detuned chorus distortion. It's got good depth and is very warm.
With her Strat and Jaguar run through a Vox amp, she can easily get a great sound which she calls Twangletrash.
The guitars certainly sound fat and lively and the wide range of sounds inspire chord and picking style playing and writing.
She sums it up as a pedal with emotion and precision in a robust casing.
I say: Highly recommended for the love of your life!
