I got it today, and I really don't like it...
I have an 18" bass drum and the weight of it lifts the other end of the pedal. So half of the pedal is not even touching the ground.
It does have some nice features and I did set it up rather quickly, but then I found out its noisy.... I played my bass drum and I could hear something rattling, and I was wondering what was that, and eventually I found out it's the chain hitting the cam that makes that noise. Its really frustrating because I played and I could really hear it....
Other than that it came with an open and torn box, and it seemed to have a shoe print on the pedal sticker…

Nice feel and very durable

After years of playing with the Tama Iron Cobra pedal and breaking it within a year, and buying a new one, and so on, I decided to try somehing new (even though I'm a Tama guy, drums and hardware). I gave a try to the DW 5000 and I'm really glad I did. This pedal has a great heavy feel as I like, and it was very is to make the adjustments to fit my playing. But the best about this pedal is that it's bulletproof!!! It only broke after 7 years, with 4-5 rehearsals/week + gigging! Without a second thought I bought it again.

A
Great Pedal For All Kinds Of Drummers
Anonymous 12.01.2016
Lives up to its name, ready to use straight out of the box. It feels so good to play, so easy on the legs. Cannot recommend it enough.
I got the TD4 because consistence is what I want more of from my drum sound and this pedal gives it everything. I've played the AD4 and I found it just as good but my preference is the turbo chain drive.
Its easy to attach to your kit, easy to adjust in so many ways and it has either the rubber bottom or the spurs to keep it in place. It hardly moves unlike other pedals I've played.
Its built so well, the DW quality shows and I know I'll have it for many years if not decades. Its a great purchase, a must have for any drummer. Absolutely delighted.

The DW pedals are the best, this one is my favorite.
