I saw somebody with these strings and had to get a set for my Jazz Bass - what's bad? The top G is just a little dull compared to the twangy sound of the other 4 strings - the bottom B sounds nice too. I play high up the neck using the B string a lot, and the tone works well. The top string I don;t mind being a bit dull - because I'm a more at the bottom player - and don't play high stuff hardly ever!
The strings are bright in ordinary light but in LED stage light the colours just pop out. The strings are coated which gives them the UV coating, but a word of warning - the fit through the bridge holes means you have to be careful - I scratched the B string because with the coating on, it's a tad bigger than my usual string gauge - so I have a little scratched off bit up near the 1st fret. My fault should have been more careful. However - I really love them, and people always comment!

These multi coloured neon strings by DR,were bought on a whim whilst buying other stuff from Thomann.I have used DR strings in the past,so I knew the quality would be no problem.Apart from the dazzling visual effect they have on the instrument(a swamp ash/maple neck Sire Marcus Miller V7 5 string in this case) the strings themselves feel great, and are really fun to play.Thankfully I own a number of basses, all with different strings in gold, blue and silver. However they all look a little staid and conservative when they are lined up next to the eccentric and colourful "Rainbow Lady" These DR strings are great ,no matter what colour they are.

This strings are the way to look different on the stage. Everybody like them. The sound is just like other DR strings - amazing. Recomend to use only bass players who play with fingers. Dont use pick. The color fall soon.
