A few years back my wife was offered an old acoustic by one of her students as they were doing a clear out at home and it was destined for the skip...she mentioned it to me,I said chance it...turned out to be an early '70's Egmond in a fairly sorry condition including missing and broken tuners...these Dixons have exactly the same shape button and though the originals are 3 on a strip look 100% authentic from the front....so I'm delighted with them...
Obviously its a brute to play but its a tiny bit of rock history helped back to life by these cheap tuners....thanks Thomann!

These Dixon tuners are some kind of 'you get what you pay for'. I bought them for
exchanging old and defective machines of an old guitar on which that look was fine.
But except for the look the tuners are not so good. Out of the box the gear scrapes
and does not handle well, somebody used to Schallers etc. might be disappointed ;-)

Die Dixon Mechnaiken waren für mich sehr nützlich und haben sich bewährt - ich habe sie auf meinem ägyptischen Oud angebracht, dessen traditionelle Knebel saumäßig schlecht gearbeitet waren, zum Teil gesplittert und ständig durchrutschten. Das machte das Stimmen des ansonsten sehr netten Instruments zur Qual. Da die Dixons Einzelmechaniken sind, konnte ich sie prima um den Kopf des Oud herum drapieren, es war etwas Gefummel mit dem Bohrer, aber seitdem macht der Oud richtig Spass.
Vielleicht hilft diese Geschichte ja einem anderen frustrierten Oud-Besitzer - die Mechaniken sind wirklich OK, gehen übrigens bestimmt auch auf einer Gitarre... ;-)

Tällä hinnalla ei nyt mitään ihmeitä odota ja vähän se mielessä nämä tuli hankittuakin, lähinnä kokeilumielessä pikkubudjetilla sikarilaatikkokitaroita rakennellen. Mutta ihan hyvinhän nämä toimii yksinkertaisella muotoilullaan eli juuri sopiva esimerkiksi tähän käyttötarkoitukseen. Toki hienompaa soitinta varten saattaisin harkita hienompaa/laadukkaampaa/kauniimpaa virityskoneistoa, mutta hinta-laatusuhde näissä on hyvä.
