At least for trombone and flugelhorn, I know DW mouthipieces provide good sound easily with less load or effort, so I decided to try this mouthpiece to play french horn as well because of the following situation. Recently, I bought low-price but full-double french horn. The goods quality looks good, however, it was really difficult to play (with a bundled other mouthpiece) to produce sound basically, and I felt that it was quite strange compared to my past french-horn experience. Therefore I changed mouthpiece to this Denis Wick one. As a result, I got easy control to play, and it is easier than my past french-horn experience with different mouthpieces.
