1 string out of 4 not so great
Matthew6221 01.10.2014
I was probably just unlucky but after stringing up my new Jazz Bass I found that the D string was buzzing like mad. I checked the frets and intonation and they were fine. So I replaced it with an old roundwound and that played fine so I knew it was not the bass setup. After putting the flatwound D string back on again to check I was not imagining it, buzz buzz buzz again.
Its a shame but these things happen. I think I will stick to Rotosounds or Fender flatwounds as they are just as cheap and do give the sound you want.
Hope you are more lucky than me :) Hopefully I will be able to return to thomann for a refund or replacement. Its not their fault at all and I think they will be able to check with the manufacturer to see what went wrong.
