Amazing pedal
csGuitar 09.07.2023
The sounds you can create are amazing.
I play metal music, at first I thought that I will not find the use of it but I was wrong. When I start experimenting with it, I found that I can use it for some symphonies atmospheric sounds which I really like.
But there are much more uses for this pedal. Boss really hit it with this one. Very innovative pedal!

Not for my purpose

The sound it can generate is fantastic. But for me it's too fiddly using it in a life situation with an electric guitar won't work quick enough for me. Could be nice for recording i guess. Send it back

JV
Great for Tremolo
Jon V 11.12.2023
I decided upon the Slicer because the “beat-like” options I learned via YouTube but as I discovered the magical stereo-tremolo effects this thing can make, wow! Note: This is my first impression on this pedal, so I know there is something more in store.. built quality is top notch, can’t go wrong there with Boss, like a tank. Shipping and handling, as usual, 100% by Thomann.

K
heaven for slicer lovers
Kapser 21.02.2024
I am very pleased with this pedal !
As I expected : the Slicer effect with many variations.
Slicer is a tremolo like effect, but with a hard, strumming attack and a touch of filter sweep that gives a synthlike sound. No tremolo pedal can do this effect, only come close.
The reason why I am so pleased with the SL-2 is that the BOSS TONE STUDIO makes it possible to modify the sounds to your liking ! I am not much into tone prints normally, but for this pedal it is perfect.
I modified my SL-2 to a SL-20 this way, with also other slicer effects I really like from the tone studio. 7 x 12 effect sounds I chose myself.
With the pedal in first use, I was looking for some sounds i liked. Now every sound is bingo. In the tone Studio I found the SL-20 package, but also some nice new sounds.

If you like Slicer, this is a must. Unless you have the Boss md-200 wich also can do this very well.
