Behringer MX400

4-Channel Line Mixer

Despite its ultra-compact size, the MICROMIX MX400 4-channel line mixer is really big on features! Providing the highest sonic quality at all output levels vs. the competition, the MX400 features ultra low-noise 4580 operational amplifiers for outstanding audio performance – the same chips as the ones found in its much bigger mixers. Use the MX400 as a sub-mixer for your mixer: If you are running short on available channels on your “big” mixer and need to add 3 more keyboards to your mix, just connect them to the MX400, dial-in the mix – and connect MX400’s output to a single input on your main mixer. This way you have the opportunity to mix your keyboard with the MX400, without immediately occupying several valuable mixer channels.

  • Compact 4-channel line mixer
  • Separate volume control for each channel
  • Low noise 4580 operational amplifier
  • 4x 6.3 mm Mono jack inputs
  • 1x 6.3 mm Mono jack outputs

A
Cheap and simple mixing desk
Anonymous 04.12.2014
I was needing a mixing apparatus so i could merge various signals from different sources and the Behringer MX400 was the cheapest, simplest and smallest of all.

It does a decent job as its low in noise if you don't turn it up to 11.
The small form was a deciding factor as i can use the mixing desk on top of my synths or on my pedalboard without to much hassle.
It has a great feature that is working as a passive mixing desk if the power is out.

The building is ok with a metal chassis and the knobs feel fine.
I have used it in more applications that I was thinking of when i get it.
Sometimes me and my friends want to jam (2 guitars with pedals, a bass and a synth) and now we can all do it using just one amp.

It would be perfect if it could be battery powered but i guess you can't ask for everything at this price point and probably it would drain the batteries in a few minutes so Behringer's engineers don't give us that option.

If you need a small, well build, simple and cheap mixing desk i would recomend the Behringer MX400

Bang for the buck!
anotheri 23.07.2019
+ it's cheap and works as expected;
+ built like a tank;
+ sounds good unless you max its output (you'll get an overdrive in this case);
+ it's quite useful if you need to connect a few instruments to your main mixer or sound interface and has limited inputs on it;
+ but NOTICE! in case you want to use its output with headphones you will need mono to stereo adapter, e.g. "the sssnake 1936 Adapter".

Neat piece of equipment
DimitriosB 17.03.2017
I bought this to combine two guitar channels into one (one with effects and one clean). I wanted something that lets me adjust their corresponding volumes. So Behringer MX400 is definitely doing the trick. I would have loved if the output was stereo and panning options were available, but nevertheless this is a great product. It's actually quite solid, sturdy-made which was impressive for Behringer.

P
good enough for me
Pak-Lee 14.02.2022
I just wanted something decent and simple for home playing, for split signal in one amp or similar. And I bought just that - a simple, sturdy little mixer that I can put in my pocket.
