Good for the price

Compressor works fine.

pros:
The compression sound is nice.

cons:
-Not true bypass. Effect when is turned off has some minor impact to sound.
-Plastic housing made of average plastic but still correctly fitted.
The on/off switch is simplest tact switch mounted on PCB.

Shortly:
Good sound in plastic package.

useful equiment
mtclassical 25.03.2021
i use on guitar and synths for compression or limiting

the pedal is really good, based on an ibanez unit ive never used.
it works as intended in a simple way with a good sound quality
and it is versatile, it does hard limiting "max sustain" through to milder compression
attack control is fine, its senstive enough and has enough range for general use.

its very good value,
if youre not sure why you want this pedal, it will crush (compress/lmit) the transient of a sound at a selectable "ratio" - using the sustain dial, (amount of crushing the initial peaks - flattening the soundwaves level, making it sound more "sustained") with a dial for how quicly the crushing will take effect when you play a note (attack rate)

it sounds good after a distortion or OD pedal, or on a synth saw wave for example, and ive used it on drum machines.

it will be useful to anyone who needs a comp/limiter. regardless of its low price.

behringer also produce the cs400 (boss comp clone), which is also very nice, id recommend both, although the cl9 is more agressive, and basic maybe. very good effects unit.

G
Works wonders with e-drums
Gerardo5491 11.02.2022
I bought this to be used with my bass, but it crossed my mind to experiment using it with my electronic drums set (I wasn't happy with the bass drum, it lacked that deep "boom" power no matter how much I changed parameters) and now I can actually feel and hear that pleasant boom of the bass drum, and not only, but another advantage is that high sounds like hi hat, symbals which before were barely heard, now they are way more audible, I advice this compressor to be used with any e-drums.
Im using Roland Octapad + Behringer CL9 + Alesis Strike Amp 12

A great value for money
glass rush 21.05.2019
I'm very surprised with this pedal. It's very good for what it costs.

I bought it to built a small pedalboard, light enough to be taken on public transport, which I would use on rehearsals (I don't like to carry my main, large pedalboard).

This compressor is better than I expected; first of all it's transparent and quiet. Well, I can hear some hiss, especially when I increase Sustain, but it's because it amplifies all quieter sounds including hiss coming from single coils.
It doesn't color a sound like dyna type compressors (with might be your thing or not), but it's different type of compressor. This is limiter type, so it works best for me as a last pedal in the chain. Not that you can't put it first. The is no right or wrong here - the best is what works best for you.

Pros: transparent (doesn't color a tone), quiet
Cons: plastic enclosure
