I bought the fp7 mic set to use with function bands, jazz/folk festivals etc in hotel ballrooms and small clubs. Overall, I've been pretty impressed.

The mics have a slightly tuned eq, enough to help balancing the kit but not too over the top. While obviously they will not sound as good as more expensive models, I'm very happy with the performance of the tom, overhead and snare mics.

The only one I was a little dissappointed with was the kick mic, which I find requires a little work to get a good sound with. However, I have since tried it on bass cabs and found it sounds great on bass!

The case, clips and rim clips are pretty good, and comes with a bonus "Audix" sticker too!

Overall, a good buy and I'd recommend trying this set out. If you don't like the kick, replace it with a mic of your choice and try it out on bass or floor tom.

Fantastic Set of Microphones

After using some Audix D series mics in a studio last year, decided to invest in their cheaper F series. The sound quality at this price range is incredible, easy to get pro studio sound at home or live. The microphones are solid, with a pre-tailored EQ curve suitable for recordings drums, but they are well suited to a variety of other instruments as well. The case is a nice bonus, and is sturdy with a key lock. There is space for a few more microphones inside, and all the clips and adapters for this set fit inside nicely. Highly recommend for the pro or home studio, as well as live sound.

not the best, not the worst, very price performance. i like it for live audio and sometimes use it for a quick rec in the studio. i never use the snare mic since i have a audix i5.
