Artec SE-SWB A/B Box

245

A / B Switch BoxArtec is a relative new star in the sky for effects devices and is distinguished by solid quality and really appealing prices.

The SE-SWB A / B Box (yes they could still work on the name...) is designed in such a way that the user can route both 2 inputs to one output as well as 1 input to 2 outputs. So you get 2 guitars without re-plugging on an amp or a guitar on 2 amps. An LED indicates where you are on the signal path. If you do not need it, the battery can be dispensed with. The design is such that you can even switch boxes with it. Convenient and very cost-effective. With higher volumes when switching between the two amplifiers, a low guitar signal can go through the unused amp.

  • Signal path can be used in both directions
  • 3 Jack sockets: in / out
  • 9V power supply socket
  • Led status display
  • Footswitch
  • Dimensions (WxDxH): 75.5 x 116 x 49 mm

B
Very good pedal
BattleAngel 02.08.2021
Advantages:
Functionality: it works as intended. Switching between A or B input is flawless.
Build quality: rather solid, but I'm not gonna take it outside my studio, so I can't tell how good it will be on the stage and tour.
It doesn't need a battery! This is really cool. Without a battery, light is not working (obviously), but it's only for 2 inputs/outputs, so it's easy to remember what is plugged where.

Disadvantages:
The battery cover is very loose. It feels like it may fall off at any moment.
It may sit upside down, depending on how it's used. In my case, it's the first pedal merging two inputs to the rest of the pedal chain. So it's upside down. Obviously, nothing can be done in that matter, as it's just how it is in the case of this type of pedal signal splitter.

A
Useful Pedal for any Performer
Anonymous 22.03.2017
I bought this because I like to jam and perform with more than one guitar through one amp; particularly since I like to play in a couple of different tunings. And that is exactly what I got for a very decent price.

It's very easy to use and very hand. One click and I'm playing my second guitar; no problem.

The pedal seems fairly sturdy and having used other Artec pedals before, I expect it ought to last fairly long. Either way, with a pedal like this one I don't expect to be tapping it on and off nearly as often; so should last a long time.

Would certainly recommend this to anyone looking to use two guitars/instruments through one amp, whether you're just jamming or performing live.

Easy to understand. You know how it works just by looking at it. Sturdy metal housing.

Cheap and helpful, but noise when changing channell
Onto 07.10.2023
This has been very helpful (I use it with a mandolin and tenor banjo); there is a noise (Pop) heard each time I switch though; I'm not sure where the issue lies.
