Good switch plug

Easy to solder and to mount.

Cuts the signal when unplugged, no pop or noise anymore in the amp.

Compared to the neutrik silent plug, which I also have, it is at least as good and I prefer the finish of the plug (the red rubber part of the neutrik becomes quickly dirty)

Este conector "silent" de Amphenol usa la misma estrategia que los Silent de Neutrik. O sea, cortocircuitando el vivo y la masa cuando está desconectado. Aprovecho para advertir que, si por despiste, se conecta un cable con conector silent (tanto éste como el Neutrik) a la salida de altavoz de un ampli, y no se conecta el altavoz, causaría una grave avería en el ampli, al tener que sufrir éste una impedancia cercana a los 0 Ohms.. El de Amphenol usa un sistema de muy mala calidad para conseguir el corto. En el mejor de los casos, y si no se atasca el muelle interno, se consigue una resistencia de 0,9 Ohms. El de Neutrik tan solo 0,4 Ohms. Menos de la mitad! Eso es uno de los motivos que provoca que el de Amphenol no sea completamente silencioso cuando se conecta a un bajo o guitarra activo. En instrumentos pasivos se comporta aceptablemente. Pero por la diferencia de precio, yo aconsejaría el Neutrik., que es completamente silencioso tanto para instrumentos activos como pasivos.
