I used this (or rather, 4 of them) for a 4-string electric mandolin build (in an effort to avoid using those cheap hardtails that cigarbox guitar builders are so fond of). They are very straightforward to install and set up, and the trickiest part is actually grounding them (a thin copper strip beneath them did the job). As they are not pre-slotted, it's a good idea to have suitable files to hand, and to work slowly and patiently. The end result of careful slotting, proper grounding, and well-measured installation is a quality bridge that is both solid and very comfortable to play.
