Oh my...

I was looking for a great cymbal set. Almost every set you can find have 16 and 18-inch crashes, and I've never been a fan of 16-inch cymbals. I was looking at K-Customs Dark and the regular K-Dark. I liked the sound of the regulars better than the Customs, but I wanted the aggressiveness that the Customs offered. Then I saw this set. The country-pack. They were bigger than the regular K's so it meant they were louder. After comparing them with the other sets for a long time, I decided to go with them. And boy I was impressed.

The 15" hi-hats are great. I don't have words for them. Every hit sounds good, and it has a lot of dynamics. Sounds great from being cramped to being open wide. Washing with it is addicting. Great Hi-hat pair.

The 17" crash is not as great as big sounding as the other cymbals, but it fits well with the 19" crash. Alternating between the two is amazing. Without the 17" crash, the pack would become dull after playing it for a while. The 17" gives a bit more lightness to the pack, which is great.

The 19" K-Dark thin crash. Oh my... What a cymbal. Warm, big, dark and every great thing to say about a cymbal. I was told thin cymbals are not good enough for professional use, but this cymbal has proved that wrong big time. It crashes at very low volumes but it can get loud. The thing I love the most is that it is so well balanced. Usually, cymbals have a lot of different frequencies, and they become irritating because of their inconsistencies. The K-Dark thin crashes beat this. There is nothing to complain about, just pure goodness.

I read reviews on the pack, and they all mention that the ride is not pingy enough. Playing it myself, I was impressed. Yeah, the ping is not as loud as I would like, but that is not what this cymbal is. The 20" CrashRide is a fine ride. With pleasant wash underneath. The bell of the CrashRide is amazing. The sound and tone are great and it is pleasant to hear, not harsh at all. It fits great with the other crashes in the pack. It is a thin ride and you don't get the feeling that it's not a crash. All in all the 20" K-CrashRide is great.

The cymbal pack is just amazing. I can't put a finger on anything(except the ride). It was everything I expected and more. It is a bit more pricey than the other packs but worth it.

Nice sound and combination.
Just not keen with 20 k crash ride as it was little moody for me without having such a good crashing ability.
19 k crash had long sustain too.

Really great, but not as dark as hoped

Bottom line, these are world class cymbals. They really are a leap above the rest. They deliver outstanding sound response with a huge amount of range of nuance in live and studio settings — perhaps with the exception of the 17" which is a bit weaker, with a lot less headroom and character than the 19".

Overall I’d have liked them to be a bit darker.
