Good choice for your Warwick bass!
Klausi2 13.02.2014
When you are using a five string Warwick bass you have a limited choice of strings because you need a tappered b-string that fits in the two-piece Warwick bridge.
The strings are reasonably priced and have the bright sound of steel strings without getting too fizzy. As the b-string features a quite heavy .135 gauge it feels rather stiff at first but you can get used to it after a while. Compared with other strings I've used the sound stays brilliant for a relatively long time but are no match for coated strings. One point that can be a problem for some people is that the strings are relatively rough - check them out before you buy if you can

Growl!
Mark506 18.02.2014
They might be cheap, but when it comes to sound, they are worth way more.
I use them on my Ibanez K5, which is tuned to BEADG and it sounds killer. I never had strings that produce that much growl! Also the low B is really clear and punchy. Many strings could be slightly undefined or mushy on the low B bute this one is great.

They might feel a bit rough the first few hours or compared to nickel plated steel, but it's not too uncomfortable.

Also with the K5 it's sometimes a problem to keep the tuning stable with certain strings. With this strings I had no problems. they are really stable even when really diggin' in.

Perfect for my German Warwick Streamer LX
bassment73 04.11.2017
I always buy these strings for my 1999 German Warwick Streamer LX bass. They fit perfectly and sound great. Bright, growly but with plenty of low end!

Good strings for an acceptable price
Fabian aus N. 13.02.2014
I bought the Black Label Strings especially for my Warwick Thumb BO5. Because of the Taper Wound 130 String it fits perfectly onto the typical WW Bridge.

The quality is – for the price – okay. The Black Label Strings a little rough, but not TO rough. So slides are not a problem at all. The Sound is a little nasal: strong mids. So you can get the typical Warwick ‘roar’ out of these strings, without any problem.
The endurance is about average for steel strings, but you can play them quite long if you don’t need the extreme high frequencies.

Overall I’d recommend this Strings for all Bass players, who need a mid- and powerfull tone.

All I’ve used on my German Streamer LX5
Ross P 28.11.2022
These strings are hard to find in Australia. Shame about that. So I usually snag a pkt when I’m ordering other things we don’t readily get here as well. I need to try other strings out of curiosity some time. For now, I’m happy with the way they feel and sound. They came with the bass, so I’m happy to continue with the sound that impressed me at purchase time several years ago.

What can I say?
Cronos 07.11.2018
What to say... I use these strings since 1997, when i bought them just to try something new - not the same ones of course :)
If anybody likes hard, thick strings, he will be happy. Bass strings for real men :D

Good sound, not great life
Patrick M 24.02.2015
These strings, new, have a nice sound to them. Unadulterated, almost-not too bright, not too uncontrolled. Nice for bringing out the raw sound of your instrument (they aptly would go well on their Warwick basses).

Unfortunately they quite quickly lose their bite and start to sound like a set of old £10 strings. Good for a single recording application but these aren't the strings you'll hear have been on your mate's bass for 30 years without being changed.
