Copact sturdy
Sullen Guest 19.10.2019
It's compact and sturdy, once guitar or bass is placed it has low point of anchoring and even if disturbed wont easily fall.,

Solid quality! I bought one to test and decided to buy some more... highly recommended. It's perfect for electric basses and guitars as well as acoustic guitars!

D
Tiny and stabile
Daniel5253 22.11.2015
Got this because of its size - needed something small to fit in my gear bag. And it is certainly very small! It's a bit tricky to remember to fold the arms together the correct way (not like you won't be able to fold it, but it takes a few extra second each time). It's an odd little stand, in that it doesn't seem like it would be able to hold a guitar comfortably, you'd almost think the instrument will tip over if you down put it down very carefully. But at least for my instrument it seems the rubbery upper part has enough friction to keep it upright without risk off tipping over. In the beginning I was a bit weary, but now I'm quite comfortable that it will hold my instrument in place.

A
Sweet small stand
Anonymous 01.04.2017
I keep my 7 string bass guitar (Conklin GT-7) in this stand, so I guess you could say it fits all guitars/basses.
It's durable, portable and seems to be able to fit anything in there.

Never had an issue of a bass falling out of the stand, the bass moved a bit the other day, but I hadn't placed it into the stand properly. So if you do it properly, no worries.

The rubber of the legs holding the bass is coming a bit loose, but nothing a bit of gaffer or super glue can't fix. It's permittable after three years of (ab)use.

The ability to fold it up for travel is awesome.
Best stand I got so far.
Recommending this.

C
Very sturdy stand but one small design flaw.
Christian748 27.05.2014
I have had this stand for a while now and have found it to be more than sufficient, given its price. It is not the most ergonomic of stands when folded up (the Millenium GS-2012 definitely wins that prize), but in all honesty it is seldom that a guitar stand like this is constantly being assembled / stowed away multiple times a day.

The stand is very sturdy in day-to-day use and its footprint is a touch on the large side if you are limited for space. Likewise the angle of incline could have been reduced a touch to help minimise space reduction in compact spaces.

The one major design quirk is Ultimate's decision to accommodate both acoustic and electric guitars on the one stand. Why not go the route of the K&M 17540 which is marketed just as an electric guitar stand? I say this because the over-extended arms on the stand end up being the perfect obstruction if you have placed your guitar down with its strap. The end results is often a guitar stand that has keeled over and numerous shouted expletives.

Acoustic guitars don't sit that well...
Christos M. 24.04.2014
Quite sturdy and well made. Nice locking action on the unfolding legs.
The cradle arms however do not unfold all the way outward and do not support acoustic guitars that well. Electric guitars sit very well, but for LP style guitars the cradle arms obstruct the guitar's jack input.

Easy, safe, stable and compact
Anonymous 24.12.2015
I bought this stand for my Gibson Les Paul Custom and I'm very happy with it.

- The foam and rubber are suitable for Gibson's nitro lacquer, you can use it without covering it.
- It can be easily fold into a very compact size.
- You can put your guitar on it with strap and jack on.

If you are looking for good A-frame guitar stand for your Gibson at a reasonable price, this could be the one.

A
Good stand, pretty strong and sturdy
Aengus 19.06.2013
I'm pretty happy so far with this stand. I've used it for a large-body jazz guitar and a heavy solid-body electric and it's kept them up quite safely.
One thing to be careful about, if the strap of the guitar is on and trailing around the stand, when you reach for the guitar the strap can get tangled in the stand. If you're not careful this can cause you to drop the guitar or let it fall!
Also be careful no to let your guitar lean back at a wide angle, this is less stable.

I've had no problems with the stand affecting the finish of my guitars, the materials are soft and harmless.

Ultimate GS-55 Genesis Stand
Donal F. 21.05.2015
I purchased this for my mandolin. A really great stand with protective foam that does not effect or react with nitrocelulose in any way. Folds up very small for storage. Top marks!

Been using these for years

Always have a few of these in my flightcase. They are multifunctional and are particularly good with bass guitars , especially Jazz Bass shapes.
