Good for the price but flimsy telescopic handle
Anonymous 15.12.2014
I bought these to use with a pair of Mackie SRM450s. The first ones I had, the telescopic handles broke after about half a dozen gigs. Thomann replaced these under warranty, and I have been rather more careful about not putting too much weight through the telescopic handles - basically, don't lift the speakers using them. One of the internal straps has come adrift at one end but we can cope with that. As they're about a third of the price of the official Mackie ones, they are a good buy, and do their primary job of protecting the speakers perfectly well.

Great idea, but wheels don't last
AnthonyOR 06.06.2023
This case is great initially in getting speaker from home to gig etc but gigging musicians need to beware that the wheels only last a few months, before they get shredded by pavement/sidewalks. The rivet holding the top handle on also pulls through around the same time period when carrying up stairs regularly.

I've had two of these and both have had the same problems - and I was carrying a 10inch speaker in the 12inch case so definitely not overloading it.

Overall disppointing because of these issues. More heavy duty wheels and better reinforcing on the handle would be a game-changer.

To be honest, when I first bought these I thought they were a bit flimsy and in some respects they are. In the first week I had them the material covering them ripped on another box I was transporting. This needs to be improved with something tougher. I also feel that the handles themselves are flimsy and weak and I'm being extra careful about not yanking them too hard. Something I haven't had to do with other trolley bags in the past. I was going to buy one sturdy trolley, but thought these might save a bit of time. So far they have and the only negatives have already been mentioned apart from that they are slightly bigger than the units I'm using them for and from that end, they take up more very important room in the truck. Other than that, I like them and hopefully they'll stand a bit of lugging around to gigs. For the price, not bad at all.

b
Decent speaker trolley bag..
bassguru 23.09.2014
Points I like about the product:
1.this bag has a huge storage space.
2. the material on the outside looks strong and durable.
3. It has a big side pouch to carry small equipment and cables.

points I dont like about this product:
1.the trolley handle looks weak and looks like it may not be able to handle the weight of the speaker it is suppose to carry.
2. the wheels also dont look durable to rough surfaces.
3. the long shoulder strap does not help due to the size and wheight when the bacg is loaded.
4. the price point should be lower.
5. the zipper my have week points at curved angles. This increases the risk of the zip getting damaged.
