Difficult to fault at all, soldered up very easily and seem fairly robust. Look good as well. Great value for money, will definitely buy again. :)

RB
cheap and it does the job done not near perfect but still is good
Rafael Barge 20.03.2023
But there is something in this cheap plug as soldering in its little plates they became a little "loose" and the connection is not near 80% perfect

But as this was cheap im not blaming in this standard design

Measure my pickup resistance I shall…
Emile Michel Hobo 08.04.2020
I have a book by Dan Erlewine, the man that made Albert King’s flying-V “Lucy,” and it recommends an easy tool that allows you to measure the circuitry with a potentiometer, which also allows you to measure your pickup-resistance. The tool basically consists of an instrument plug and wires with crocodile clamps that you can attach to your potentiometer lines.

I decided to attach banana plugs instead of the crocodile clamps, so I can stick them straight into my potentiometer. It allows me to quickly read the electronics of my guitar to see whether the wiring is in order, which is awesome. Good instrument plug for a great tool.

You can also use it for instrument cables. Either way, don’t forget your shrink wrap. That way you can easily make your own professional cables.

DK
A Jack that does its job
Dimitris K.. 16.06.2021
In essence, I prefer making my own instrument cables rather than buying them, I am not that expert on the quality of the metal that is made of however this is a great budget one with great build quality.
Easy and open to do the soldier, and still good space between (+) and (-), from an assembly perspective the jack is easy to put together, is easy to solder, and has the ability to take some really thick cable.
The delivery service by Thomann was fantastic, can it get any better, a great value !!!

Great bang for a buck
Czarek Ksiazka 02.11.2020
I used it to make some short patch cables to connect my reverb unit to my audio interface and so far so good. I didn't want to buy the most expensive plugs because they will be stationary all the time where there is really low chance of breaking them. For that kind of application that's probably one of the best plugs you can get, because of its price

Really Useful..
Anonymous 10.05.2016
I find these very useful for making up odd length cables say from board to amp or whatever....will also bring old cables back to life...!...great for hobby/semi-pro weekend gigs even, but not perhaps quite solid enough for nightly pro use...
Try to keep the screen shorter than the tip when fitting,it will resist tugging better and if the cable diam. allows wrap it in tape so it passes through the spring as tightly as possible, again helps against tugging. Finally, secure the two halves with a dab of nail varnish!
Great value item,I always keep a few spare!

High Quality Jack at Low Price
Anonymous 24.04.2015
I have a small mixing studio where I seem to go through leads and cables like no one?s business. Wear and tear gets the best of everything at some point. I used these jacks on several guitar leads that have been damaged at various points. Simply snip of the offending jack, unscrew the new one and solder. These jacks had nice clean, easy soldering points that anyone (even those with terrible soldering skills) could work on.

Highly recommend!
