Good for smaller crystal bowls

This sized mallet is great for getting a strong sound from the smaller sized crystal bowls when it can be harder to get them to sing when using the wands or felt mallets.

Good only for hitting the bowl

It introduces a bit of tap, when you hit the bowl. I was expecting to produce a softer sound. Build quality is ok, handle lenght from the photo it seams that it is long- to long. In reality it is just right. It can leave black stain on the wall of the bowl. It is hard to make a bowl sing with this mallet. For individual hits it is ok.
