Expected better for the price
Sure, why not 09.04.2024
It does its job no problem, but for 100e, I was expecting better fit and finish. The surface is great (for now) but the clasps feel a bit flimsy, you have to jimmy it a bit to get it closed, no hinge on the inside cubby, just a flexible stitch.. also surprisingly heavy, but whether that's a plus or minus is up to you. Were it 50-60e, this would've been a clean 5 stars

Has had a fishy smell for over two years now
aarhus 20.01.2022
I bought this case a couple of years ago and when I got it there was a fishy smell which I took to be glue. I have since left the case open - I have tried air fresheners, Bicarb - nothing seems to work. I know that the case is cheap but I definitely would not buy another one. I must say that this is the first time I have ever had a complaint about anything I have ever bought from Thomann - it is a oity aboyt the quality of this item

OK for the price
Alian from Montreal 22.01.2023
It is inexpensive, that's the best part.
Pretty heavy, make you feel more secure ??
The latches seems a bit flimsy, maybe it's because of the springs that are soft, and they don't have real safety locks on it
Was recommended for the HB-35, I must say that it's a bit loose in it, need more padding for sure. Would be worry for air traveling.
Should come with extra padding for adjusting with different models.
I guess it is made to fit many semi-hollow model guitars, should be adjustable !
Beautiful finish, could have been better glued in one specific area.
Again, we can't compare with cases that cost 3 times that price.

Less Than Exciting Case
CK 1 09.12.2022
I bought this case as a bundle with the HB-35Plus. It's a heavy case for the style and should provide adequate protection. However, there are some glaring flaws in the design. The interior is too big. At the lower bout, it's at least an inch too wide and an inch too deep. My guitar slides back and forth AND moves up and down. If I were to travel with this case, I'd have to add extra padding all around the guitar. Furthermore, the latches are very loose and do not instill confidence. Handle placement causes it to be quite bottom heavy and could even drag the ground for shorter people. Otherwise, the case is sturdy and it has an arched top (which is impossible to see in Thomann's photos). I got this bundle thinking I could save a few bucks on the case but now I wish I would have gotten a quality case domestically. I cannot recommended this case.

Not the top notch to be honest.

Quality isn’t great. You better spend about 50 extra quids and get yourself a more resistant case. Quality is slightly below average and the padding inside won’t give you the idea of it being reliable.

This never claimed to be perfect.

Got this case as part of the E-35 VS bundle.

My first gripe was that the case provided does not match that shown in the picture for the bundle. The one in the bundle is form fitted to the headstock whilst the one supplied is as per the picture for this case as a stand-alone item. Not the end of the world, but a little misleading and disappointing.

The overall quality of the case is good. I only bought it to protect it from the destructive forces of my two year old boy :) but it seems sturdy enough to take on the road (although it is certainly no flight case).

There are two keys supplied but I'm not sure how far I'd trust the locks. Probably supplied against accidental opening rather than theft.

The only other thing wrong with this unit is that the guitar sits too low in the case. The headstock actually sits on the floor of the case meaning that the machine heads move every time it is stored away. Again, not the end of the world for someone like me who tunes up every time I play, but others may consider this a serious defect.

However for the price it is a pretty decent bit of kit.

Meh

The case isn't fantastic, i've had it for a day and already I can tell that one of the locks is going to come loose. It will probably last me 6 to 12 months before I will need a new one, but it wasn't very expensive so no problem

Not great for an Epiphone Dot
Denbo 13.11.2013
I've owned this case about nine months now after getting it bundled with an Epiphone Dot, but I've never really been very happy with it because the guitar can move up and down a couple of inches making the headstock and bottom of the guitar body vulnerable if it's over dropped. Consequently, I'm about to buy an official Epiphone case because - having seen one in a local shop - they seem to provide a much tighter, snugger fit.
