The compact allrounder

The Thomann DP-33 is an elegant, compact digital piano that is not only for beginners. With its elegant housing, the piano -which is available in black or white - is a real eye-catcher no matter what the occasion. What is more, its inner values make a convincing case. In terms of keyboard and sound, the DP-33 offers pianists of all ages everything they need for practice and inspires their creativity with its comprehensive features. The DP-33 offers an elegant, affordable, and good-sounding alternative to an acoustic piano, and not only where the latter would be too big, too loud, or too expensive.

Just a killer keyboard

The DP-33 offers a full-fledged, velocity-sensitive keyboard with a real hammer mechanism. This ensures a high-quality playing feel that is similar to that of a concert grand piano. The touch dynamics can be adjusted in several steps to suit your personal taste. In Split mode, the keyboard is split into two sections, and Dual mode allows you to overlay two different sounds. The DP-33 also provides further important practice features in the form of a built-in metronome and 60 onboard practice and demo tunes.

More than a piano

The 26 sounds of the DP-33 include grand piano sounds as well as other instruments such as electric pianos, organs, and strings. In this way, the DP-33 invites you to experiment - some songs simply sound better with an electric piano sound than with an acoustic one. The sounds can be refined with the integrated reverb and chorus effects, and an equaliser is also on board. The powerful speakers ensure a rich sound. And in case you want to avoid making too much noise, you can practice at any time without disturbing your neighbours or flatmates thanks to the two headphone outputs.

About Thomann digital pianos

Thomann-brand instruments, which are exclusively built by renowned manufacturers, now constitute a large part of Thomann’s product range alongside numerous big-name brands. With unbeatable price-performance ratios, Thomann digital pianos are the obvious first choice for students and beginners – and others too. The technical features and uncompromising sound quality they offer are usually reserved for much more expensive instruments found in the professional market segment.

Always a great connection

In addition to the headphone outputs, the DP-33 offers other connection options that allow you to use it in various ways. Via the AUX input, you can easily play music from an audio player or a smartphone - which makes practising twice as fun! The stereo output enables a connection to an external amplifier system or a recorder. And the DP-33 will even get along fine with a computer: The integrated USB port sends and receives MIDI data, which means that the digital piano can be used together with music software. And if you're into experimenting, the DP-33 offers you a wide range of possibilities that facilitate practising and boost your creativity.

Awesome piano!
Melissa B 16.08.2021
I literally don't have a bad word to say about this piano.

For context I'm 4ft 11" and it only took me 40 minutes to put it together, single-handedly, including carrying each individual piece upstairs one at a time, and having to go downstairs three times to get different screwdrivers. It was ridiculously simple.

It feels really authentic; the keys are a perfect weight with great hammer action, and the sound and feel for just playing at home gives you the experience of playing an upright piano, but at a fraction of the price and with the added benefits of it taking up less space, being simple to take apart if moving it to another room, and no specialist mover is required if moving house.

Another bonus is that you can plug earphones in so you don't have to annoy the family and neighbours with your playing, you can plug it in via a midi cable to a laptop or tablet for online tuition courses, and if you record music as we do in our household there is no complicated microphone arrangement required for recording this piano - you just plug it in and you're off!

This is genuinely one of the best value purchases I have ever made, and I couldn't be happier with the instrument or with the service I received from Thomann - just top drawer!

Ideal for beginners and studio playing
Falky 23.06.2020
Very solid frame and key mechanics, although they can be a little hard for beginners especially in the upper tones. The controls are ok but a display would amke things much easier. The piano sounds are standard, what I noticed though is very little sustain which is a pity.
Since you can connect it to your DAW via USB MIDI you will soon find yourself using it to record live piano with quality samples which it does very well.
