Great Ukulele
Tony Marko 31.05.2018
Great Thomann ukulele bass! Small, but fills big. It sounds well, and has built-in tuner. And even more tuner uses batteries. So great and handy tool! Great instrument for any trips or just having fun. I don't know how to use it professionally, like any other ukulele basses. But as unique instrument it's great! Quality is really well! Recommend for buying!

RS
Great but flawed design

This is an addictive little instrument to possess, I have been unable to go even a few hours without picking it up to have a jam. Most of the downsides are those which all Uke Basses suffer, namely the strings require much more winding to reach accurate tuning, the standard strings are very 'grippy' and don't slide as easily as nylon, they're also a little bit buzzy and noisy.
I replaced standard factory strings with Aquila ThunderReds and they are significantly better, more Gliss, less buzz and noise. However, this brings me to the major fault.
In order to change the strings easily you need a torch, and to remove the jack/XLR input, it's very tricky even then.
In summary, the first thing I did was restring it, the second thing I do will be to cut an access panel in the back!
