Very good solution for your takes
wgen 22.11.2018
When you are tracking some vocal parts I think that the variables and the things to pay attention to are so many that the worst thing would be having also to correct the nasty P sounds within the words being pronounced. This simple solution manage to solve these issues without spending a fortune. Also, being made of metal, it seems somewhat better than those antipop made of double layers of nylon, which some find that they tend to attenuate the higher harmonics of the voice, instead.

Solid Pop Filter
ZharKhan 05.08.2019
Although I saw several reviews pointing out bad user experience with a gooseneck, I didn't have that problem. It does take some time to put it in the right position, as with any other pop filter I have used so far. This product is built solid, and it is capable of doing the job just fine.

I must mention one thing though:
Whenever I tried to sing really close to the filter (5 cm/2 in and less from the grill), I've heard strange distorsion-like artifacts on sibilant sounds.
To be honest, this is my first metal pop filter, so I am not sure if this is happening with all of them or just with this one.

Other than that I'm really satisfied with this product.

Okay I guess...
Jefurï 15.02.2022
This pop filter does his job. It's really difficult to make it stand like it's supposed too: between the singer and the microphone. The filter tend to drop down. It's pretty annoying to set up... and as soon as you move the microphone, the filter can drop. That's a no from me.

Genial
Jowjo 26.12.2019

Does the job, but could be better...
Alex Djuran 28.06.2019
I bought this as I didn't have any other pop filter handy and I'm not entirely dissatisfied with my purchase.

The pop filter is sturdy, well constructed, the metal grill is gorgeous, and the clip on joint is fairly solid.

Sadly, that's all the good I can say about it. Firstly, the gooseneck is veeeeery short, almost way to short for most condensers that come with their own shockmounts, and I'm 99% sure it wouldn't work with an SM7. The gooseneck is also very flimsy and weak, I had to bend it in a very strange way to get it to stay put.

Overall, it'll do the trick in a desperate situation, but you can get better.

I bought it due to the small diameter and out of curiosity. I haven't owned a metal one before.
Pros: Small size distracts less when reading lyrics.
Gooseneck and clamp are good.
Works well from reasonable distance.
Cons: When singing very close, the metal "grille" tends to distort sibilance and pop's. Whistling like effect occurs, when lots of air is moving through the shield.

From now on, I prefer standard two layered fabric shields.

It just makes sense to buy!
Cal Richard 22.06.2018
I haven?t had a single problem with pops when it comes to my vocals ever since I bought one. Works far better than the fabric ones and smells less of spittle, bad breath and humidity too, and if it did, it would be easy to clean.

The flexibility of the gooseneck is surprisingly good and once positioned, holds in place nicely.

The only issue is that it could be longer, but that?s just my preference, at this length it fulfills it?s purpose.

It?s strong, functional, easily maintainable and cheap, worth the money.

Excellent windshield for the money
Gary M. 16.02.2014
I bought this windshield at the same time as I bought my t.bone RB 500 ribbon mic. It is really simple to fit onto a mic stand and is super sturdy. Excellent value for money !!!

E
a lot less effective than regular pop filter
Eden1 09.09.2021
It doesn't really block the pops as well as a mesh nylon filter. Air passes through a lot easier and the result is sort of a weirdly transient removed P, instead of having one transient it sounds like the high frequencies pass through more easily, basically smearing the entire sound. Stay away from that. I don't know if it's that specific model or every metal popfilter that does this but I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Overall it's good.
FoxyInSoxy 08.06.2022
It looks excellent. The sides are smooth and not sharp.

The gooseneck can be a little fiddly at times, not always staying in position. But you can always find a solution.

As it's metal, it has a slightly metallic sound.
