great isolation at a great price
Anonymous 27.05.2016
I Like these headsets, if you on a budget these are perfect for the job, I own a set of these and also vic firths SIH 1 and EX29 isolation headsets, sound quality is good (note: they not produced for sound quality ie mixing or general listening to music, they are mainly for the musicians who are being recorded) I don't see much diference in quality between these and the vic firths, though I sense the vic firths maybe a tad tighter on the head giving maybe more isolation. Ill not go into EX29 as they are higher end and another story.
Anyway, when I got the T-bones along with a head amp I took them straight down to rehearsal room and did a session with the band, it was quite comical as all through the session we would be shouting at each other with the words "what?" and "what you say?" so I guess the only downfall of these as with all isolations, is a pain in the butt trying to have a conversation whilst wearing them...err more to the point...impossible...as for comfort, having eight ear rings in one ear, i never do find wearing headsets comfortable to a degree, there is nothing obvious about these and like the other headsets I have, you do tend to get a little sweaty after prolonged use of wearing.
Great headset at a great price, would definatley buy the T-bone HS990D again if more headsets were needed!

Wow ! I'm Impressed
Danny Tristram 16.06.2020
Bought these to track Drums and Vocals with in my Home Studio.

They are fantastic, no bleed on the mics (which is the reason for this purchase and my sony MDR-XD200 gave off a lot of bleed), and comfy to wear for prolonged periods, tried mixing in them too out of sheer curiosity, and although not comparable to my monitors, it didnt sound to bad!

As tracking headphones that'll likely be chucked around, they are unbeatable in my opinion

Perfect Product
Lukas M. 856 19.02.2014
I Have used this one over 6 years now! 2 days ago I have ordered a new one because i have lost the adapter for 3,5 jack and they are not looking good any more! After at least 1500 hours you can't even hear a difference between new and old one! I have used it on stage so the cable of the old one is looking bad, the phones got wet about ten times over the years and I've hitted them with feet and sticks about 100 times - they are still working even if they are not good looking any more. For that price the quality is amazing. Sound is fine - bass is existing and the volume they produce is high enough even for drummers ;-)
Never use the 3,5 jack and you will be happy for years.

Suitable for use with older child
swsw 22.05.2018
These were recommended by the drum teacher. The headphones fit a 10-year old as well as an adult -sized head. The sound isolation is not complete, you can still hear the drums and have a conversation. However, it is enough to take the edge off the drum sound and stop your ears hurting. Playback from an ipod also works well.

Headphone Love
Anonymous 13.04.2015
I bought these headphones for a youth club recording studio as all previous pairs of cans had fallen apart. I wasn't expecting much as these are so cheap but they are incredible.

Just finished recording drums for an album and the drummer says they are the best set of headphones he has used for recording extremely comfortable and very little bleed from them too. Not a single complaint or irritation about the comfort and we were doing 12 hour days.

I think you will be struggling to find a pair of headphones as good as this for double the price . Just pick up a pair of t.bones and don't look back

Better than the expensive brand they replaced!
Anonymous 01.02.2016
I bought these to record drummers in my commercial recording studio. I already own the industry standard studio headphones and special drummer's headphones. These t.bone headphones have similar noise reduction to my branded drummer's headphones, but are much more comfortable to wear and seem to be more durable (my expensive phones are made of a thin, hard plastic which cracked when dropped by a drummer, and one earcup has also ripped through). At this low price, even if they got damaged I could replace them and it would still cost less than the branded pair. The only thing I don't like is the coiled lead. I prefer a straight lead. But that is just a matter of taste. With these phones and a decent headphone amplifier, you can go really loud without distortion, and with great noise reduction, which for a recording drummer is perfect.

100% isolation
Dr. MJ 09.05.2019
Don't blame yourself with lumberjack design. I use these headphones as a listening device of mix when the space is full of noise. I also listen to the music trough them when I'm cutting grass with mower - really comfortable :D. Screwing jack reduction ( 3,5 to 6,3 ) ( part of package ) don't loses signal and fits pretty well. Really good tool for drummers and for musicians who have rehearsals with drummer, without speakers using only headphones connected to some device. Ratio of frequences is not 100%, I would say 70%. For this price, when I discovered how they work, I bought another pair.

Great value
Anonymous 28.02.2015
Fantastic value for money. With these kind of drumming headphones, the overall sound quality and clarity is of course far from the best. But actually, I've also tried the much more expensive drumming headphones from Vic Firth, and the sound quality is basically the same! They sure cancel plenty of noise when recording, more than enough for most cases. No need for extra ear protection with these. A must-have!

Good Purchase
Daniel B. 502 15.11.2017
I bought multiple pairs of these for my home studio and can safely say they are a good product for the price. I have multiple musicians using these at the same time and yet to have a complaint from anyone. I found they provide good isolation from the room and a good sound in the headphones. I wear these while playing drums and feel that they provide good protection to ears from the hours a week spent on my double bass drum kit. Hopefully these will stop me going half deaf by 35.
