Cheap little mixer, but not satisfied with the Bluetooth and use with PC
Tomas Bilek 14.02.2022
I got this unit for a friend who needed a microphone preamp - works OK-ish purely for this purpose , however finding little strange the gain knob has to be almost on maximum with all microphones I have tested, knowing they work ok on other mixers in more normal range of gain.

I was testing the bluetooth streaming function and noticed quite a lot of beeping and squeeking when the bluetooth button is enabled. It gets lost in during mid/loud volume playback, but quite annoying during more silent music or in between songs. I experienced some sound interruptions when moving the phone - for example just when tilting it in my hands. I found it working when I placed the phone up to around 5m away from the mixer, not moving it and having absolutely no obstacle between the phone and the mixer.

There is no guidance in the manual as to how to run the unit in a DAW software nor specific driver for download for this particluar device. I tried the ASIO4ALL, but I gave up after several attempts to make it working in Reaper or Cubasis without success. I am not saying it is not possible to run, but found it rather frustrating - the device sometime appeared in the DAW settings, but not sending the audio to the DAW. I normally use Yamaha MG mixers as audio interface and for me these work seamlessly without hesitation usingthe official Yamaha Asio drivers in several DAWs.

If I was about to use the mixer as an audio interface or bluetooth audio streaming, I would return it and tried something else.

Features full mixer, but of course with that price do not expect very high quality product.
Morph3us 01.02.2019
For the price it is a good product, it has many features, including bluetooth reception. In an approx 40 euro product the features and usability are amazing. However I have to mention the issues it has, some are minor and some are more serious.

Of course in this price do not expect a good DAC, the signal from USB has a faint background noise, and with some songs and frequencies this background noise is more prominent. This is a minor thing since the input signals from the lines are much cleaner, and considering the price this is not a real issue.

However there is a serious issue which needs to be pointed out. When you switch it off, press the bluetooth button and especially when turning it ON, there is a very loud popping sound. This can destroy your speakers if you do not turn them off first or turn their volume completely down, Leaving the mixer volumes down will not help, the spike pop will still occur. To avoid it get in to the habit to turn off the speaker before switching on or off the mixer.

Great mini mixer for home studio or multimedia center
Hendrek 09.10.2018
I bought this mix because I wanted to mix signals from PC (via USB), my guitar pedalboard (with preamp and cabinet simulation) and send it to headphones or Hi-fi system. Also the option of Bluetooth connection impressed me.
Secondary use of this mini mix is with my PA as basic mixer for garden parties, etc. It can take microphone and I have possibility to play music from various sources (notebook, phone via Bluetooth, mp3 player, etc.).

PROS: it is f*cking awesome product for that price

CONS: it has RCA connectors for line signals and Main outs, so I must use reductions RCA/6,3mm TS.

I highly recommend this mix, because I never had problems with it and it is working realy well.

Is it a Xenyx 302USB killer?
Audio geek 09.05.2021
For all intents and purposes this is a 302USB in a different tin with a Bluetooth interface. I bought one to test and compare with (see my other review of the 302USB, I sort of love them). Not had a chance to do a full A-B review yet but initial observations appear promising, everything works much the same but the Bluetooth audio does sound a tad thin for my liking. The 302 and traversely this MicroMix are Swiss Army Knives for audio geeks like me and having BT added into the tin is super useful. Once we're allowed to go out and be creative in the world again perhaps I can give this little beast a hammering and see what it brings back home through the catflap!

k
Cheap and works, for me kind of
kakef 13.07.2018
I wanted to use this to mix guitar rig and laptop audio output, listen with headphones and then route back to my laptop to record.

It kind of works, you can listen both guitar rig and background track, but i was unable to record both because when you select channel 2/usb to your headphones it doesn't send the channel 2 to main out. And when you select channel 2 to main out you can record both but can only hear channel 1 from your headphones. My hardware solution is to try to use y-cable on the headphones output so i can connect it to my laptop input and headphones at the same time.

And I also noticed that the usb output level is quite low.

No phantom power on microphone minijack
jedd 14.01.2019
I ordered both the MicroMix 1 and MicroMix 2 as replacements for the legendary Behringer Xenyx 302 USB which I used to love mostly for its size and routing options, but has been discontinued.

This is obviously targeted at the same audience and I suspect there was a certain amount of plagiarism when it comes to design and possibly routing schematics. But yeah, that's cool with me.

One major selling point for the 302USB was the fact you could plug a average consumer-grade headset (like your standard gaming gear) into it and use the 3,5mm microphone in.

This is however not possible on either the MicroMix 1 or 2 as the circuit board does not feed phantom power to this port (well, on the MicroMix 1 it does but only for a few seconds after pressing "phantom"). This makes the 3,5mm mic jack only usable with active or pre-amplified microphones, and it kind of defeats the point of having this unit to be honest. I thought this was a fault on my units but Thomann customer service confirmed this was working as intended.

I should add that the preamps are very noisy, but that was to be expected considering the price. Maybe a FetHead can help you regarding this point, but if you're looking for a quality signal you're probably better off looking at other more expensive (but still small) interfaces.

Unit build is metal, solid, knobs are well tightened. The kind of gear you can just stash in the bag with no protection and expect to work for a couple of years.

Just what I needed
C & L Audio 08.07.2019
I bought this as part of an install for a shop, the client wanted something that was small, could be used with powered speakers, had Bluetooth capabilities and was easy to use, this ticked all the boxes and was at a very affordable and reasonable price point.
Only downside is the desk doesn't come with a mains power socket so needed to purchase this separately. (it was a good job the boxes where opened and tested prior to installing)

Pros
Small
Bluetooth
Good sound quality
Good price point

Cons
No mains power
