Stereo Patch Leads
Anonymous 06.04.2016
I bought one of those 8-channel audio interfaces from Behringer last year, but at the time, I didn't realise it only had preamps built in to four of its inputs. A bit of a schoolboy error there, but one that was remedied with some luck on eBay, with a four channel preamp.

Now with the preamps in place, I needed leads to go from the preamps into the line-ins of my audio interface. A quick read of the instructions informed me that I would need stereo leads out of my preamps into my audio interface.

I scanned Thomann's website for the appropriate gear (Stereo patch leads - TRS) and I was pleasantly surprised at the low price of this bundle of six stereo patch leads.

I have no use for these leads, other than for them to link my preamps to my audio interface, for recording purposes, so this set will not see gigging life.

They have those horrible molded jack plugs, which I hate (they remind me of those rotten leads that used to be supplied with cheap gear in the 1980s); but given that they are only going to be in my "studio", my guess is that I will never need to go inside an perform surgery. In any case, these leads are so cheap, that I would probably just replace them anyway.

Please note: I have rated the quality as "very good" because I think that, even though they have molded plugs, they are in fact very good at what they are designed to do.

Recommended if you just need a cheap stereo patch lead (TRS). You get what you pay for; but I think that these will be more than fit for the task I intend to set them to.

Thomann has done it again! I wanted a cheap solution for my home-studio work and I got it here.

L
decent patchcables, the colour coding is very handy
LutherD 25.03.2022
I use these patch cables when I need to connect my soundcard to some DI boxes when I play live sets , and to connecto some various outboard gear to the soundcard. I've had these cables for a few years now, and they have seen a bit of use. They all still work fine, so the cables do what they have to.

The colour coding is handy when doing quick setups (e.g. live setups when touring).

Good value patch cables
luffarvante 22.09.2021
Gets the job done. The fact that they come in different colours is very helpful in keeping track of what goes where and the different length options available all are consistent in colour making it easy to have a system, regardless of the distance between my gear and patch bay.
My one gripe is that I wish they came in 8-packs, with an additional 2 colours. A lot of my gear, like my interface, ADAT expansion unit and mixer, have 8 channels, meaning I have to be a bit inconsistent with what colour means what "number".
It becomes even more complicated when you consider that the sssnake TRS multi-cables have 8 channels, with additional colours - I would like to match the multi-cable with a patch cable of corresponding colour at the back of my patch bay, but to do that I end up using a lot more of the red and black cables.
If nothing else, if individual cables where available that would help.
The quality is good at this price point but I would not recommend them if you constantly patch with them; they are more suitable for plugging in once and then being left alone.

Will continue buying and would recommend!

Good Patch Cables
echocode 03.01.2023
I have been extremely satisfied with these TRS patch cables. The price-to-quality ratio is excellent, and the colours are very attractive. I have purchased several of them, and they have all performed well. The cables are durable and have held up well over time. I would definitely recommend these patch cables to others.

Great for getting the job done!
Alex Djuran 06.03.2022
I got a bunch of these with a Neutrik Patchbay and I gotta say, they're darn solid. They feel well put together, I don't hear any signal degredation compared to some higher end patch cables, so these get an A+

Colors are never enough
Paolo Mancuso 20.12.2022
I never thought I would run out of colors, until I started recording live sessions and ended up tracking 16 different tracks. That’s where you get Karen-Level color naming skills for your cables. Realistically there’s no reason to have a bunch of black cables, colors convey informations and information is GOOD when you have 100+ parameters to keep in mind as an audio engineer

I use these with my 6.3mm jack patchbays
APMonteiro 27.12.2018
These are cheap and good cables, I've been using a bunch of these on my patchbays for almost 2 years now and they are still in great condition.
Sure there are "better" more expensive options but I don't notice any loss on sound quality and they are built like a tank. In the end, a cable is a cable and although I must admit at first I was a bit skeptical about this product I don't notice any signs of signal degradation when using these.

Pros:
Cheap and reliable
No noticeable loss of audio quality or noise

Cons:
I would prefer if the cables were all the same color

If you are looking for cheap and reliable patch cables these are a great choice

Perfect to bounce tracks from MPC to soundcard
AnalogWontDie 15.11.2021
We understand that we do 8 tracks simultaneously out from MPC into a 8channel USB/thunderbolt interface from 2007, sounds like an angle drumming on the gates to heaven

Perfect
laurentschark 08.04.2024
Some engineers don’t invest enough in good cables and the ratio signal/noise is very important. Obviously those are small so you shouldn’t have any issue. They’re cheap and yet they do the job perfectly. I’ve had them for years (and completely forgot to write a review about them) and they’re absolutely perfect for the price.

If you’re not sure about balanced ot unbalanced patch cables, always buy balanced ones.

Great product !
