Great for those on a budget

Another great product from the Sssnake line of cables.
I got these over 3 years ago as a pack of spares to replace the more expensive ones I had at the time. Within the space of a few months, I had replaced all of them with these Sssnake ones and have not had to replace a single Sssnake one since then.
They are great quality, and the fact that they are colour coded helps in low lighting on stage. Personally, I like to keep all my pedals tightly packed together on the board, and these cables are perfect for that because they are short enought so as there is not a lot of excess cable.
In terms of sound, I noticed no difference as I changed from the more expensive cables, to these ones. Especially in a live gigging enviroment, you need not worry. If there is any difference, I could not hear it. A lot of people may look at the price and think they are not worth it because they are cheap, but that is where they are mistaken.
The only thing I would suggest it the option to buy them all in one colour, but that is only an aesthetic complaint on my part, as I like to have everything matching. But for the price, I should not complain.

Tough little patch chords. When you don't need them they clutter up a gear box. That being said, when you DON'T have them you always need them.

Feels a bit cheap but that was expected for the price. Still a good choice for your first pedalboard.

Inexpensive, solid, yet not perfect

These are great, inexpensive patch cables that do the work as they should. I use them for fx pedals. I have to say that quality/reliability isn't the best, thus I only gave four stars for rating. I had two cables gone bad in a very short time with normal use, so always check them before leaving your home and head for the stage.

H
great affordable short cables
HowieCapowie 19.02.2020
I have more or less build our rehearsal/studio set up with Sssnake cables. I use this on our patch bay for very short runs. I have the longer versions as well (2 different lengths, straight jacks) so it won't clutter up the patch bay to much.

I have nit compared them to anything else, but I think one would have golden ear to pick up differences between these and other cables.

Ok pedal patch cables
Anonymous 19.01.2016
Got this bunch of patch cables when I was putting together my budget pedal board. The reason I got them was because they were very cheap and they would be a nice temporary option.

The quality is not the best that you can buy, it does the job. Some of my pedals did not seem to like these cables. Because the cables are on the cheap side some of the jack tips had slightly different lenghts. Some of the jack tips once plugged in they were sticking out of the pedal a little. They worked but it did not look great.

Since I got these I have upgraded my pedal board several times and moved on from these patch cable a while ago. Having said that I did keep the cable around and still have them. The reason why is because although they are cheap and a little clumsy made they still are great backup patch cables. In an emergency they will sort you out specially at that gig where gear keeps going wrong. Also great if you are in a studio session and suddenly you have a noise on your pedal board and you need to replace patch cables to pinpoint where the naughty noise is coming from.

In short, these are average patch cables on the cheap side that it will not break the bank if you buy them and might sort you out on a gig or studio session.

One or two were dead or crackling right out of the box, which was disappointing, but the rest still work after almost a year of gigging. For the price it's a good buy, you just need to filter out the bad ones at the start, or at least jiggle them a little bit and they might even wake up.

Colourful Connectivity

A thoroughly servicable set of patch leads. Build quality seems fine, and they all seemed to work out of the box. The moulded plugs mean that repair isn't feasible if there is a failure, but the moulding and the cable look pretty robust, and patch leads are rarely subject to the sort of stresses and loads that instrument cables are.

The colours are useful, especially in a setup where you are using stereo effects on your pedalboard - easy to keep track of the left and right channels. I use the warmer colours for the right channel (red, yellow, and green) and the cooler or neutral colours for left (white, black, blue).

These are cheap, cheerful, and do the job.
