It’s a noise gate, it does it’s job. Not much to write home about.
Have not tried applying it musically, but does a great job of killing buzz while not playing.

A bit more aggressive than i’d have liked at times, killing a bit of sustain, but very usable.

However… the 9v connector inside snapped in two on the third battery swap. That is *very* annoying, as i now have to fiddle with tho separate pieces to connect a battery and line them up properly so that i can seat the battery correctly.

Almost completely cuts the hum, but it also cuts some sound. I mainly use this when the distortion is on.

One of the cheapest noise gate pedals from a reputable make. Does the job as advertised.

i needed a general use gate for use on the high gain side of my board.

Currently using the curtain to tame the noise from my wicker big muff.

pros:
affordable
good for lower gain aplications

cons:
decay could be shorter for situations where noise is bad
some noise gets through even when gated

overall a good gate for the money but players of heavier styles may want to look elsewhere

It works well in front of an amp and in effect loop as well. In hi-gain applications it is more effective in effect loop, as it suppresses noise of an preamp.

Range of a threshold is sufficient. But it should have faster decay. During fast chops (i.e. in thrash), closing is still slow and there is annoying trail of noise.

Works wonders! This pedal doesn't add any extra artifacts to sound or tone and is brilliant for cutting out amp hiss. Brilliant value for money and is of reasonable cost.
