I
Taylor 12 String Capo a Dissapointment
Irishjimmy 23.08.2019
I am dissapointed with this. It’s no better than the basic Kyser one ( half the price) I was using. I tried both, one after the other on the second fret and there’s no difference in tone or crispness of sound; and that’s after screwing the Taylor one hard as I can. I’m using a takamine G series 12 string. I bought the capo based of the Taylor brand name. It looks nice but I should have tried the Shubb, at half the price. It might have delivered an improvement

A crude piece of workmanship selling at a premium price under the Taylor name. if your guitar doesn't have the same radius fretboard as this capo then it wont wont old down all strings properly. You'll get mute or buzz or both. I get the impression this was put together by someone who never played a 12 string. There are more modern designs at half the price which have pads of varying sizes to allow for the different thickness of the 12 strings.
