Useful for small cymbals only
the_shan 14.09.2018
I've used these for 18" and 20" crash/ride/china cymbals and occasionally things go flying in the air. They're OK with 16" and smaller but don't really have the grip for those heavy items. I'm a hard player, but not the hardest by any stretch. I still use the original clamps for the big items (after finding out the hard way). So, they *slightly* improve setup/takedown times, but it's minimal. I wouldn't buy them again, nor would I recommend for your full setup. I use good quality heavy duty DW stands, so they are most definitely not the issue. Be prepared to be disappointed.

I thought was famous for Metal Drummers
Victor4562 15.09.2022
I bought a Tama cymbal stand that had them on as standard. One worked ok but the other kept "flying away" half way through a song. I thought it might be a quality issue and ordered a replacement but the issue is still there. I am a heavy hitter but Tama having a good reputation for Metal Drummers (at least that is the marketing I've seen), I would have expected more of them. I'm back to "normal" wing nuts now.

Not for all cymbals and stands...
il Barinda 04.07.2021
When it works it make it easier the mount/unmount cymbals, but if not appropriate dumpers (may be thiner that the ones you're used to set) are equipped, maybe you'll see them fly during your gig. As tip buy one, try it on different cymbals and cymbals stands and then evauate it. ;-)
