Disappointing

I wanted to use this to mount a cowbell to my bass drum hoop. Although I can't really fault the build quality out of the box, I found it was difficult to get a stable mounting without really cranking everything down - which could potentially damage the drum hoop.
Yes, it does work, but I don't like its clamping mechanism, which I am sure will damage the drum hoop over time. Frankly, I would recommend clamps such as the DW Claw Clamp as being much better and less likely to damage the drum.
I see another reviewer was very happy with this item, but my experience has been quite different and I can't recommend this product. :-/

Not too impressed
Anonymous 07.03.2016
At first when i got this i was very happy to have such a helpful stand for my cowbell and jamblock, which was very easy to put together. But soon after I played it I realised it wasn't quite the best for me. I've had it for a few months now and no matter what position i put it in and how tight i crank it, it always comes loose and rotates. I've tried a few different tricks to no avail, and am fairly disappointed, as the rest of my tama hardware works perfectly. This said i've had to make do with cymbal stands. I wouldn't recommend this particular item due to its lack of stability, and now have to look for a better replacement.
