Superlux HD-681 B

First off, these are durable! I have already AKG K141MkII, and compare this two i must to say Superlux HD-681 B hold on its own very well especially when thy cost a lot cheaper. I used these to check my work from professional monitors and I'm surprised when I check with these because they're so flat. For the price, there is no better product! For a headphone to sound this good for such a low price is nothing more than a bargain. The clarity of music and separation of instruments is something i was greatly pleased with, especially when listening to soft rock, ballads or similar music. Naw on comfort - the elastic headband makes easy to find the correct position. The standard ear pads are very big and don't apply any unpleasant pressure to my ears. Thy OK for wearing on head for a couple of hour or so...maby even more - i just don't use headphones more than that..feu hours then pause..
Overall they do sound really great, by it..thin nobody will regret!

Bought these headphones after reading many reviews about them. I was looking for a reasonably priced set of headphones for use on a few occasions when I play my guitar through a guitar processor.
Firstly the product arrived very fast from Thomann which I finding to be the norm from them. After unboxing i found the build quality to be as expected for the price and liked the way the phones adjusted to by head. I found them to be comfortable and better than some others that I have used. After plugging them in and trying them I was more than happy. I played my Les Paul through them with a backing track and for the first time I could hear everything much clearer and the guitar sound just cut through. I would have liked just a little more bass from them but that is just personal taste.
All in all in my opinion these headphones deliver more than their price suggests and for anyone looking for a good sounding set at a budget price then you cannot really go wrong with the Superlux HD-681 B.

This particular model of the 681 series would appear to offer an excellent balance, with a well judged frequency response and good dynamics. They are pleasant to listen to when connected to high quality music sources and yet remain sufficiently analytical to be used for monitoring purposes. The sound is detailed across the whole frequency range and very coherent with good musicality. Performances sound like performances and not simply a collection of recorded sounds. In this respect they are unique in this price range.
Their semi open design also makes them suitable for field recording work where you do not necessarily want complete isolation from the outside world. Their light weight and comfort for long periods also make them quite suitable for such applications.

In conclusion, at the price offered, these Superlux headphones represent quite astonishing value for money and are highly recommended. I cannot imagine anyone not being delighted with their sound quality and comfort. The service from Thomann was excellent with good communication throughout, even on what is, after all, a very small purchase. I would certainly recommend the company to others and would not hesitate to buy from them again.
